I haven't been doing a lot of crafting lately but I have spent a lot of time upcycling an old dolls house which I have turned into a home (a dream home for me as I will never be able to afford one) above a crafting/dressmaking shop with a classroom space (for the knit and stitch groups and crafting workshops) and a sewing room (for making or adjusting garments for its clientele) as well as a well stocked shop. I can just see it nestled in this little village of Little Mending on the Borrow.

I believe the plan is the rest of the family is going to go play disc golf while I run into the grocery store for a few things (hard to make sandwiches when you forget the bread!).
You must be a bit baffled by life in Little Mending on the Borrow... but with the Air Base nearby (I wonder what that's named?) and so many American airmen and soldiers here now you're in the war, here in 1942...

I don't suppose Little Mending has a bakery, does it? One of the villages I used to go to as a child had a bakery, and it used to make the most fabulous jam doughnuts. And a pharmacy that sells everything from liquorice and ginger through doctor's prescriptions, to bath soaps and worming tablets for the dog and the horses - we had one of those sorts of pharmacy as well!Sealed Pot Challenge no 035.
