Can’t believe the progress on your targets

Thank you :) I had to make a good start while I'm off work as progress will slow considerably once I'm back
I Jwil just refound your diary and you're already off the starting blocks. You are making loads of progress. I have a similar amount of weight to lose and last year reached my worst ever. Like you I need to turn that around. Good luck with SW and all your other goals.

Thank you. Good luck with it this year too, we can do it! :)
Found you!! Happy new diary xx

    Thank you pwps :)

I got a book out of the library about habits which is really interesting, apparently that is the way to change behaviour, rather than will power. I think there are some Ted talks about it. For me it is all a constant battle! (weight loss I mean).

It is for me too :( Can you remember what the book was? It sounds really interesting. I wonder if I could find it at my library. I did add one to my amazon wishlist over Christmas, and then deleted it as I thought I'd look for it at the library, but didn't make a note of what it was  :rotfl:
Happy New Year and new diary! I'm another one whose NY resolution is to look after myself.

Thank you :) Good luck with it for this year.

I've woken up in a mood today (I think it's TOTM due). It's bothering me that already I have missed 2 days of my exercise goals. So today I am going to rectify that by doing at least 3 Active 10s to ensure I'm caught up.

I'm also going to prep food for the week so that I can stick to plan without any effort.

Yesterday I managed to finish sorting all the clothing. I have a huge pile to go now. School uniform will go to the school so they can sell it for funds. They also have a clothing bank which they use to raise funds, so I might take all of it there to save a trip to the air ambulance one.

Nothing will change if I don't make changes - I need to keep reminding myself of that one!

Well, after this morning's grump, I have managed to turn things around :T :T I went out for a walk and did 3 x Active 10s, so that catches me up. :j

DH took little miss to her party which freed me up to do other stuff, so I did an exercise DVD to get one of my full body workouts :T Have divvied up the last of the Xmas chocolate into the kid's snack bags, and have been prepping for the week.

I did have to go shopping as I had to throw a load of stuff out from the fridge that had completely gone off  Chicken and ham that stank, mouldy quark and gone off yoghurt  I'm hoping it's not our fridge and just that maybe it's been too stuffed full. It feels cold enough. Coincidentally, it was all bought during the same shopping trip, so I wonder if it's been out of the fridge too long in store :( So I've blown the grocery budget replacing it, but it can't be helped. I will keep an eye on things and make sure the fridge isn't too full.

I will help that by digging out a posh fruit bowl that we were given for our wedding, but have never used. I'll start storing the fruit in that rather than the fridge, which will a) hopefully encourage me to snack on that rather than anything else, and b) the same with the kids, and c) free up space in the fridge.

I've boiled up some eggs, cooked some SW sausages for breakfasts, made some lentil soup (had a portion for lunch) and prepped the veg for later. I've also made up some quark with hot chocolate powder and decanted it into little pots. I try to eat 'normal' food rather than some of the tweaks that dieters come up with, but this one is really nice and sorts out my choccie fix.

  • Sounds as though you have got loads done today, well done!

Sorry about the gone off food, fingers crossed its not the fridge. xx
  • Wow you have done well today, not just a walk but an exercise DVD too!

I hope the fridge is okay. You're being really organised on the food front which I'm sure will help. I think having the fruit on display will encourage healthy snacking. I love bananas as I find them very filling, but not too calorific and packed with nutrients.

Thank you :) I think it will help. Bananas are one of the few foods I really dislike. Cannot stand the taste or texture. I wish I did like them!

DH knocked one of my new jars out of the fridge and broke it :( That's one of my choc pots down now :( Never the horrid things is it :D

  • Well done on everything you've achieved so far! Silly husband. I spilled a pot of cream across the floor yesterday. We must be from the same clumsy line!

Thank you. It's frustrating, not completely his fault, but I'm still sad that it happened to be that!
