Thanks everyone for popping in.
We are off for our annual walk at the seaside and then I shall do some targets later. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Being a mum I can completely understand the not investing in yourself part - this is so common. I too have this goal as well for 2020!
Look forward to reading how you get on
Hi Clarissa, yes, it's so hard to find the time. Good luck with it for this year too"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
I've loved reading about everyone's goals for the new year on other diaries. It does make me think.
I need to write off January completely, due to the washing machine, the HMRC bill and home insurance (which I've paid for the year rather than monthly :T ) I'm completely skint. I've got the dentist today which I will stick to, but will rearrange my hygienist appointment for next month which will free up £50.
I've got plenty of food in the cupboards and freezer, so shouldn't need to buy a lot. I will need to plan carefully though as I want to stick to SW.
Three parcels for DH posted today.
I think I'll have a look around and see if I've got anything I can list and raise some extra cash."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
Here are my targets for Jan:
Money:- Find 5 things to sell on eBay (and list them!)
- Meal plan for the month
- Budget max £25 pw for any top up groceries
- Keep up with surveys and cash out if possible.
Health:- Stick to SW plan for 30 days - 0/30
- Commit to at least one x 'Active 10' each day - 1/31
- Achieve SW 'Bronze' body magic certificate
- Complete 4 x full body workouts - 0/4
- Finish taking anti-depressants (GP approved)
- Complete 1 x mindfulness activity each day
- Listen to weightloss therapy each day
Decluttering:- Complete 'clothing' sections
- Complete paperwork
- Complete Christmas decorations

Found you! Have subscribed to cheer you on.
Goals sound really thoughtful and where you say you need them to be. Am sure you’ll find exercise good the more you do it, once it’s a habit I don’t think you’ll ever stop again.
Have a brilliant day

Dentist done and all ok. Hygienist appointment rearranged until next month. There was an implication I might need something done next time, so will need to allow for that.
I've been back over my finances for last year and have underestimated many categories. No wonder I've never got any money!
I'm trying to switch all DDs over to a separate account so I can just transfer the required amount each month and ignore it. I definitely need to have a separate account solely for food - I've been overspending by about £130 over what I planned for each month  The difficulty is, it includes things like clothes for the kids etc as I tend to buy that from supermarkets. It will include fuel as well sometimes. I need to start recording spends. There's £2k of cash withdrawals which I can't precisely allocate as well. I know what some of it is, but not all.
I'm a walking advert for needing a spending diary :rotfl: I will hunt out a notebook."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
I haven't meal planned yet, but I have done a freezer inventory. I've been shopping this morning, and wound up 80p over budget, but that's because I bought wrapping paper as little miss has a birthday party this weekend. I'm very pleased about that. I must try not to spend anything else now until next week.
I need to withdraw £30 for little miss's ballet lessons for the half term.
Rejoined SW last night using the free voucher in Woman, so saved £10. I've got a countdown voucher which I can use from next week which I bought last year so I won't have to pay for a while now.
Found 3 items to list, will try and get them on today"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0
