We've been out this morning to get the cake and some wrapping paper, so DH's gifts are all sorted now. We only bought a small cake, he's not particularly fussed.
13 items sold yesterday, 10 have paid up and been posted so that's good.
I've just cashed out £5 amazon from a survey site.
Other than that we are having a quiet day today."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -

Told cant put on FB market plave as is social suicideI don't sell a lot of clothes, but those I do I sell on ebay. I don't sell a lot on FB marketplace as I've just had so many problems with timewasters. Why is it social suicide though? I do have a separate FB account under a different name which I use when I'm selling stuff as I don't like it on my 'normal' account.

I finished Sue Grafton's alphabet series today. It's such a shame she died between the publication of Y and Z so we'll never find out how the series ends. I recommend them if anyone hasn't read them. They are about a female PI based in California.
I have also been browsing through the ebooks available from the library and building a reading list. I must have added hundreds and I've not got halfway yet. Between that and the 1500 odd books on my Kindle, I've got no excuse for buying books at the moment!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I'm really not looking forward to going back to work next week. It's been nice just having time. It will be back to juggling school, working, and everything else again. But the positive is that the house is looking better so that's all good.
We've been out and about today doing a trail around town. It was good fun and a nice walk too. With the short walks I've done the last couple of days and then todays, I've ticked off the first 5 miles out of my 50 mile challenge. I'm pleased about that. I haven't spotted any birds yet but it is making me more aware of the sounds of birdsong and nature generally, in the same way that doing the butterfly count has made me much more aware of butterflies. I'm educating myself, becoming more mindful about nature (I've always appreciated the big views, but this is making me more aware of the smaller details), and of course getting some exercise. I might try and get some walks out on my own, but it's always difficult with the other demands.
I also must get some new trainers. My current ones are wearing through and have a hole in the back. I'm looking for something really comfortable for walking in if anyone has any recommendations?
We were meant to be meeting friends tomorrow but I don't think that's happening now, so will probably take the kids to parkrun and then maybe the park afterwards.
It's been nice to see the sun again today for a change!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee6
