I've had a day pottering around the house today. I was doing my 15 minutes per hour thing again. It's worked quite well again! I've tidied again (I seem to be constantly picking up the same items 😡 ) and cleared a couple of spaces so the house is feeling and looking a bit tidier and more spacious.
I've caught up on some emails and gone through my kindle books on my amazon account and deleted a load that I've read and won't want to read again.
I've also *gulp* applied for a credit card. It's only a credit rebuilder one, with crazy high interest rate. I am getting this purely to rebuild my credit, as realistically we might need to apply for finance to help with some of the house renovations at some point. My plan is to use it solely for petrol and to pay it off each month. I'm still a bit nervous, but I'm confident I've learnt my lesson.
This weekend we plan to break up the old sofas and get them to the recycling site. We are planning on going to a local fete which is usually quite good, and little miss is hopefully meeting one of her friends.
Hope everyone has a good weekend."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -

Oh the joy of back to work today!
I've enjoyed my couple of weeks off, it's done me good and the kids have had lots of fresh air and exercise without costing the world. The fete was good at the weekend, we spent on a few activities and the kids had lots of fun. We had a go at church bellringing too which was novel!
DH broke up the sofas and took them to the recycling site so they are gone.
The kids did parkrun yesterday, and then we went to the park to meet one of little miss's friends. She enjoyed it and it was nice for me to meet her and her Mum as well, as we haven't even seen each other before due to Covid restrictions at school.
Hope everyone had a good weekend"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3 -
That all sounds lovely. I hope you survive going back to work ☹️ I like to book the next days or week off so I have a new countdown in place…then I can think ‘only x weeks until I’m off’ when it feels never ending 😬Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Sounds like a good weekend to end off your break and hope the return to work isn't too painful.3
