We’ve watch the blacklist for years. The man who plays Raymond Reddington is the same man who played Daniel in Stargate…but old!!
Wow that's an interesting fact. I watched a few season when it first came out but not since.

Well done Jwil on your 12 year plan. It's great to feel you have options and when you get old enough to use it - you will be very grateful to your past self.

Edited to say the film Stargate, not the series that followed. We are just binge watching all the Atlantis ones now 😏
Yes, I remember him from that, looks totally different now!  I'd never heard of it, possibly because we don't have sky.  I'm really enjoying it though!

Thank you.  It is nice to feel there are options, and even though a lot may change in the next 12 years, I know that come state pension age, neither DH nor I will be destitute, even if something happens to one of us in the meantime.  It's a big relief.  The 12 year plan is about giving us freedom to choose what we do sooner than that, retire, go part time, change jobs to do something we want to do rather than worrying about the level of pay etc.  It's an exciting prospect.  Whilst I enjoy my job, it can be hard and intense.  I quite often see other jobs that I like the look of, but they are low paid or fixed term, or part time.  It will be nice to have the option to look at some of those when we don't have so many demands.

Thank you.  We like this one as it's quite traditional.  I guess it still might not be 'normal' but at least it's on.

Oh the joy of back to work today!

I've enjoyed my couple of weeks off, it's done me good and the kids have had lots of fresh air and exercise without costing the world.  The fete was good at the weekend, we spent on a few activities and the kids had lots of fun.  We had a go at church bellringing too which was novel!

DH broke up the sofas and took them to the recycling site so they are gone.

The kids did parkrun yesterday, and then we went to the park to meet one of little miss's friends.  She enjoyed it and it was nice for me to meet her and her Mum as well, as we haven't even seen each other before due to Covid restrictions at school.

Hope everyone had a good weekend :)

That all sounds lovely. I hope you survive going back to work ☹️ I like to book the next days or week off so I have a new countdown in place…then I can think ‘only x weeks until I’m off’ when it feels never ending 😬

Sounds like a good weekend to end off your break and hope the return to work isn't too painful.
