Thank goodness the week is over, it's been very draining. We've got a busy weekend so not a lot of respite, but DH is off for a week so he'll be able to take the kids out next week.
I've had a quick tidy and whipped the hoover round once I finished as the kids were out of the way upstairs, so at least the house is starting the weekend marginally presentable.
Tomorrow little jwil has swimming, little miss has a birthday party (which she is extremely excited about) and then we are going to visit friends and do a scarecrow trail.
Sunday little miss has swimming, then I'm marshalling at junior Parkrun and we've got a few bits to do. It will be nice for the kids to be out and about as they've been in all week other than the garden (as have I!)."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". We cancelled the scarecrow trail yesterday and are doing it today because the weather looked rubbish. It's dry today so should be better

We won £30 on the lottery last night, woo hoo! I'll pop it towards the mortgage once it arrives in the account.
I ordered a computer monitor last night, which should arrive tomorrow. I got a discount through amazon warehouse, and used gift card balance towards it so that saved some money and it meant I paid less than £75. I also bought some plain t-shirts and a tie dyeing kit so me and the kids can do that while I'm off the week after next. There's talk that we'll start heading back to the office in September and I don't want to have to lug a monitor back and forth, and I can't work on a laptop alone. The screen my colleague gave me worked fine for a while then died which was a shame, but it gave me a good idea of what size I wanted so that was good."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Work has been hectic today but I'm hopeful that after the deadline tomorrow things will ease off and I can have a bit of an easier week, albeit I'll have to make sure I'm up to date with everything as I'm off next week.
DH took the kids out all day today and it was lovely just getting on with work without any distractions.
My monitor is due to arrive tonight, hopefully not too late! I've spent again today on the Twin Peaks film - I was told I need to watch that before I watch season 3. I couldn't find it anywhere to stream so I bought the DVD. At least I will be able to resell it once I've watched it so hopefully ultimately it won't have cost me a lot.
I'm not doing very well on not spending this month 🙄
I have redeemed another £5 amazon voucher though so that's always good"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3 -
My monitor arrived and is great. I'm really pleased with it, and it makes work much easier with the bigger screen. My DVD arrived today, which was really good as I only bought it yesterday (not from Amazon).
The deadline was achieved today so that's good news. Hopefully I can just get stuck in with catching up on other stuff now.
DH took the kids out this morning, and then this afternoon he's been prepping stuff for listing on ebay, so I'll have to try and get that on at some point.
We did sell 6 items this week which is good considering we haven't really been listing much recently."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3 -
