That's what I'm hoping for, the freedom to choose rather than 'have' to do something.

I'm still working on my 12 year plan. My first step is to next year try and make another F&F offer to my debts. I'll offer 20% to each, and then if they both accept I'll have enough. If one comes back with an alternative offer than I'll be able to go higher and hopefully clear at least one of the two.
I've got enough to cover that in my savings now, so need to try and build them up more so that I still have a buffer.
I've just emailed the window company to see if I can get an update on the window for the kids bedroom. They said 12 weeks, but it's past that now. We still owe almost £400 when that's done.
I've got to get the rest of the school uniform, and DH and my sister's birthday gifts this month. I've just placed an order for a gift for a birthday party little miss has been invited to next week. It's likely I'll be dipping into my pots again this month, but again, hopefully less than the previous month!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Sounds as though you have everything organised and under control, always good to have a plan even if you have to tweak it slightly on your journey.4

Yes, who knows what will happen in the next few years, but having a plan gives me something to focus on, and it's not set in stone, so I'm sure will need to be tweaked accordingly. This is more of a best case scenario, and I'm realistic that it probably won't end up like that.

We've had a quiet few days, not really up to much. I've finished reading through the box of children/young adult books we found a while back, so have rediscovered some old favourites and enjoyed some new ones. They can all be decluttered now. I might look at selling some as I've had some success with selling similar ones before.
Not much decluttering happening other than books sadly. I haven't done much this holiday. It's been nice to have a rest, but it does all stress me out still. The problem is everyone else is attached to the clutter!
I ordered the rest of the school uniform yesterday, so once that all arrives, I think that is everything now. It's another £70 odd spent though, it all adds up!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Oh, I read my Stephen King book at the weekend, and really enjoyed it. In the book, the characters were watching a programme on Netflix, so I googled it. It's called The Blacklist. I've never heard of it so googled it. It sounded right up our street, so we decided to watch an episode. We are now hooked! Thanks Stephen King
It's on Now TV so I need to keep my subscription going for now until we've got through all 8 seasons!

We’ve watched the blacklist for years. The man who plays Raymond Reddington is the same man who played Daniel in Stargate…but old!!Edited to say the film Stargate, not the series that followed. We are just binge watching all the Atlantis ones now 😏Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
