Hi Jwil - is there anything that you could book into your forward calendar to look forward to - even if it its a hobby night or a movie night at home- anything that brings a smile to your face. For example, I was dreading going into work 2 days on the run with a poorly leg and planned (art) painting for the evening so I had something to look forward to.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

savingholmes said:I hope your knee feels better soon. With you on the weight and SW - I had similar experiences. I need to recommit to eating better too. My weight has been reasonably stable this year - despite enforced inactivity but hoping to improve that. Our sign up session at the gym next Friday should hopefully kick us into gear. Glad that aqua fit is working for you - I may try that again too.girlatplay said:I saw a nice floor lamp in Ikea that I really want. It's £50 and I can't justify that right now. I hope you get the things you want. Ikea is always a nice trip. Boyfriend and I go just the two of us and sometimes we stop for something to eat too.db2016 said:de lurking to say, do some research on ketogenic diet. its completely counter intuitive to what we are told "fats are bad etc" but its the sugar response thats the real bad guy, and when i done it (6st, but with around 4.5st net).
wont say to much else but theres plenty of info on how it works mechanically etc, so theres to research. just a thought. SW etc always raises bells with me coz well your paying into a thing, they have not really got much to gain by you leaving and never going back, just as banks dont profit from those who pay bills off without fees. they are counting on you failing. keto is no club, no payment etc, its simply the mechanical name for the chemical process it gets energy from.I will have a look about it. Sugar is definitely my downfall.

Maybe you do need to go back on some type of medication to make you feel better and then you can introduce some positive changes to your health and practise positive thinking (it is something we need to practise I think).
I hope you trip to Ikea was a success and you managed to buy what you needed.
By the way, can you recommend a cheap courier? DS1 has sold an item on ebay but has only charged £1 for postage. It's about the size of a shoebox but very light. I know royal mail parcelforce would be an expensive way of sending it, but maybe you know of a cheaper method. The weather is definitely not helping. I'm working through my book and am trying to be more active. If they don't improve things, I will go back.
For your parcel the cheapest will be Royal mail second class (not tracked but with delivery confirmation) as long as it's less than £20 in value, or My Hermes. My Hermes is fully tracked and you can buy additional insurance if needed. It will probably be slightly cheaper than RM."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney5 -

Just catching up. About the wanting to be moving more and feeling a bit heavy and inflexible ( I know we all have days like that) how about some yoga? if you choose the right stuff you can get a real work out as well as it being a great stress reliever. Maybe it will help with depression, surely no harm in trying? .Whats more there are a lot of free YT videos so you dont even have to leave the house/pay anything. I have used the Adriene ones to work on some tricky poses. Message me if you want to discuss - I am a huge fan. Its becoming a bit of a life changer to be honest.
Lots of love and hugs as always

Hi everyone. I'm not getting on here much at all anymore! I miss my daily emails, they were a prompt to catch up with everyone.
I've finally signed up for Tax-free childcare. That should save me about £70 a month. Despite paying back the tax credits overpayment in January, they've now sent me a letter suggesting I'll owe yet another £12!
I'm keeping up with my stretching mostly. I think it helps a bit. Today I have finally joined the fitness membership I've been contemplating. Along with my aqua aerobics, if I just go once more in the month, I'll be quids in. I'm really anxious about going to the gym for the first time, but will have to suck it up as I really want to go there. It's just finding the time to do it. It's only down the road from work, so I'm hoping that sometimes I'll be able to take a longer lunchbreak and go. The same with swimming although there's only 1 day realistically that I can make that they are open for public swimming at lunchtime. They also offer some home workout sessions so I did one today with little miss and felt really ill with the floor exercises - lying on my back. I can only assume it's down to my weight as it never used to be an issue.
The bills have all been paid and there is some money left in the bank! I will try and save that for our trip to Cornwall later this month. I've managed to resume taking lunch to work so am saving there, but am still eating too much junk!
Going to try and finish some listing for DH later, and also sort out the kids room now we've got the new chest of drawers. I managed to spend less than anticipated, but didn't get everything I wanted as it was too busy and the kids were annoying me
I had an offer for 4 months reduced membership for audible which I've re-signed up to. I've made a note to cancel again once it's done. I bought the depression book so I can listen to it when I haven't got the energy to read. I've also borrowed my first audiobook from the library"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney6 -

I think it will help. I did find some physio exercises yesterday so am giving those a go.

Had a trip to A&E last night with little jwil who was struggling to breathe. That was fun at 4am on a Saturday night/Sunday morning. It just stank of alcohol. Diagnosis of Croup, and a few hours later back home again. He was absolutely fine beforehand, and has been absolutely fine since thankfully. Hoping tonight is ok as I'm shattered now and so is he!
Not much else achieved this weekend as a result. I did move some stuff around yesterday and have mostly finished the kid's bedroom with the new chest of drawers. I've also put in a Kallax unit which we had downstairs, so creating some space.
DH is still sorting away. I did 16 listings yesterday for him. Several of the ones from the other day are selling too.
Hope everyone has had a good weekend x"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney4 -
