DH and little miss are back from the car boot and have cleared another couple of bulky items! Hurrah. Getting rid of something bulky is better than making lots of money
Rather annoyingly though they've come back with a flipping giant teddy 😡 She wanted it so he bought it. I am not impressed!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -

Hope everyone is well
I've had a spendy few days. I've ordered some lightweight trousers as mine are comfy but just a bit too thick for the heat, especially when I'm walking to and from school. Hopefully they will be ok when they arrive. I'm ordering some tops as well, as although I wasn't planning on it until closer to returning to work, I'm just wearing the same three over and over, so it's getting repetitive
It doesn't look like the savings will be growing much this month, but all has been needed, and I very rarely buy clothes for myself, and tend to wear the same ones for years.
I've also spent on some litter picking equipment for the kids. They both wanted it, and I got mine for free from CPRE. Little miss went out with mine (with DH) at the weekend. Cleared a big bagful and was very proud of herself. I usually pick bits when I'm out and about so it's nice to have the proper equipment. That's a frivolous but worthy spend, so I'm ok with that.
Finally, I signed up for delivery saver with Mr T. I think I'm going to continue with online deliveries for the forseeable, but didn't want to sign up while slots were hard to get. It's been much easier recently so I figured it was time. It will save me more as I can now get the hour slot rather than the four hour slot so it's easier to plan. (I am too cheap to pay the extra £1.50 for the hour slot normally)
The kids have got school photos this week, so that will be another spend, especially as they aren't doing sibling photos!
I've cashed out £16 from PA and £25 from one poll so will pay those to the mortgage when they arrive.
Everything's incredibly hectic at work again, and there's a lot of issues underway. Hopefully things will settle down soon. I was hoping to try and take a couple of days off when the kids were at school to have a break and do some stuff around the house, but that will probably have to wait until things settle down. It's not urgent."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -
Happy new clothes. It’s lovely to get new things and really appreciate them because they are rare. I keep waiting until I’ve lost a bit of weight, so it might be forever 😬
some nice cash outs too. I cashed out £5 something today, not quite as much!
