23 is phenomenal! I sold about 3 and was happy.
What do you do with the sales money as I seem to recall your finances are separate?
Cannot wait for a week off from homeschool although I am working for half the week! I'd really like the children to use up some of their arts and craft kits this week but also don't want to tell them what to do, I think we all need a break from that! Might just leave them out on the table and hope it inspires them!5 -

Yes, we keep our finances separate but pay the joint bills together. These sales were mostly the kid's old toys, so the money from that will go into their savings accounts. The rest was DH's and he'll use that however he wants - at the moment it's trying to make sure we have a buffer in case of his job, but also putting some towards the house repair savings, or paying for his vehicles etc."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I'm off now, hurrah! So much for the easier day I'd planned, but I'm going to forget about work for a week now. I'm also looking forward to it getting a little milder next week.
I finished my survey on the stress app today, so have another £7 on the way when that's approved. I thought it was quite good. I've also reached cash out on one poll so that will be another £25 on the way soon.
This weekend I must cut DH and little jwil's hair. They are both looking a little wild!
It's my birthday soon, and I've been thinking that if I get some money, I might put it towards getting an ipad. I'll have to try and earn some towards it as I don't want to spend lots of money, but I'd like to be able to read stuff on a bigger screen than my phone - I'm thinking online documents and stuff, and also watch a film or tv programme in bed sometimes. I get fed up with trying to do things on the laptop after using one all day at work. I'd also like to take advantage of all the free magazines the library give us access to! I thought about a cheaper kindle fire tablet, but I didn't really get on with the one I had before (though I love my normal kindle), and I can't get the library stuff on there. That's my frivolous thinking, but I might change my mind yet, as I'm not sure I want to spend £300!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I got a refurbished iPad mini on eBay a few years ago, I think from Argos. I love my traditional kindle but I use the iPad heavily for library ebooks, newspapers and magazines. My local library has a brilliant selection and it’s probably paid for itself just in books I’ve read for free. I also read using the kindle app on the iPad a lot more than I expected, I thought I’d stick to my kindle for that but it’s probably more like 50/50. I use the iPad for so much that I hardly ever use my laptop now (which is just as well because it’s so old it practically runs on steam 😂).Debt at LBM (Dec 2018): £23,167
