I was going to say nothing beats a comfy loo seat, especially if you want to escape the hubby and kids, for a quiet read 😂😂😂

I'm just as guilty of the kindle books problem as well. Never seem to get round to reading them but always find new ones to add to it.

Ah ok.  I have about 50 & thought that was a few!

They've built up over the years while I was working through my physical books, I had hundreds of those too!  I'll never be short of something to read for sure!

It's easily done.  I am reading my way through them now, but do go through phases of adding lots more.

I've had a shock today, I found out that my ex died of Covid yesterday 😢  It's knocked me for six.  I feel like a bit of a fraud as I've had zero contact with him for not far off 20 years, but we were together for 7 years, and although it was totally the right thing to do to split up, we had some good times together and I have lots of fond memories.  I was browsing a fb group that I don't normally go into very often, and spotted a post from a relative of his who's name I recognised.

I don't have any mutual friends who knew him so don't really have anyone to reminisce with.  We had one close mutual friend but she died a couple of years ago.  I feel like a whole part of my life has been wiped away now

I am so sorry you have had such a shock. It must b very hard to deal with.

Sorry to read your news.
You were together a long time & he was part of your life.
It is natural to feel sad.
It is just unfortunate that you have no one to chat to about it.

Sorry to hear your news Jwil. I know from experience FB is not a great way of finding out someone we cared about has died. It's natural to grieve. 7 years is a very long time to have been together even if it was some time ago now. Hugs. I found with my friend's recent death, it was as much the shock - and the pent up grief of the whole situation - as much as about her as an individual. It puts a face to the huge statistics quoted to us every day and makes it so much harder.
