Happy weekend! I'm so pleased to have the break.
Yesterday was tough and a very long day trying to reach a deadline. I managed though. At least I can look forward to Wednesday off as well.
I think we've managed to complete all of the school work this week so that's good.
The kids are happily playing together which is nice. I'm catching up on surveys and need to scan in the work that they did yesterday which I haven't uploaded yet.
DH has prepped a load more of the kids toys for sale so I'll try and list them this weekend, or next week.
I've got two birthday cards to write and post, I might actually leave the house today
Other than that, a chilled and pottering weekend I think. One benefit of lockdown for me is the not 'having' to go anywhere. It's a shame we lose the choice, but nice not having the pressure to be doing stuff.
My Iceland delivery came this morning, so I now have the items that didn't arrive last time. I didn't manage to get my 7up though, so maybe they'll send me another discount to enable me to get that next time"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hey @jwil
I’m so sorry it’s been so long since I was last on. I’ve just caught up a little but am going to read through all of the things I’ve missed.Well done on getting through the week. You’ve done awesome job. Your pottering weekend sounds like it’s just what you need. You’ve made me think about listing stuff when I get home. Need to do that. Also I forgot Iceland did home delivery. So will see if I can maybe get a delivery with them as struggling to get slots at the moment. Take care and I’ll make sure I pop in far more often x5 -

I find it really handy. They've definitely benefited from me for the last 12 months or so!

I've just booked us two weekends away using the S*n holiday codes. One in April and one in September. Who knows what Covid will look like then but at £40 for the weekend, it's a risk worth taking. I think September will hopefully be ok, April's probably a bit dodgier, but we'll see how things look. It's something to look forward to if we are able to go and if we can't it's not a huge amount of money
A friend has just received a positive diagnosis. She's a nurseShe only had her jab the other day. Just too late to prevent her getting it sadly.
I've done a bit of sorting out this morning and have put a wheeled bag and two other bags to go. The wheeled bag I've only used once, but it is poorly designed and doesn't hold any more than a normal backpack, so it's a waste of time and quite bulky. It will be nice to see the back of it."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -
Sorry about your friend. It's a worrying time. I found another couple I know has the virus yesterday.
Well done on the continued declutter. Hope you manage to get some breaks away this year.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
