You were together a long time & he was part of your life.
It is natural to feel sad.
It is just unfortunate that you have no one to chat to about it.
Take care of you xxsavingholmes said:Sorry to hear your news Jwil. I know from experience FB is not a great way of finding out someone we cared about has died. It's natural to grieve. 7 years is a very long time to have been together even if it was some time ago now. Hugs. I found with my friend's recent death, it was as much the shock - and the pent up grief of the whole situation - as much as about her as an individual. It puts a face to the huge statistics quoted to us every day and makes it so much harder."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Thank you everyone for your kind words, they are much appreciated. I guess as much as him, it's brought home how much I miss my dear friend (who was a mutual friend of ours) who died of cancer a couple of years ago."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". In other news, before I heard that yesterday, I'd been having a bit of a tidy up. I'd managed to move some stuff around and cleared a small amount of floor space out the back. It's a little thing, but clear floor space makes me feel much better.
I did buy another couple of books on amazon (naughty!). I went to add one to my wish list and then saw it was a kindle special for 99p so bought it and another one. Oops! I do have quite a few short books on there, so I'm going to try and look through some of those and clear them off the kindle to get the numbers down. They won't take too long to look through.
Today I really ought to take down the christmas cards which seem to have been forgotten! I've packed a parcel for DH and have some listing to do later. He is selling a few items today as well, so that will be some more to go. I've put the bedding in the wash too.
I was really hoping we'd get some snow, but it's just the slightest sprinkling of slush out thereIt's quite nice and sunny though, so I might go for a walk later if the ice clears. Otherwise I'll go out in the back garden for some fresh air.
I did a few minutes of exercise this morning. It's not a lot but it's better than nothing.
I've done my PADs. I'm going to prep a nice roast lunch now too."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -

Always good to have a book or several on the go!

I hope everyone is well. I've got the rest of the week off which is a welcome relief. My anxiety is out of control at the moment, so I need to try and act on it to reign it in. I was up most of last night with stomach pains and I genuinely can't tell whether it's something I've eaten or the anxiety. I'm leaning towards the anxiety as I haven't eaten anything different to the rest of the house and they are not ill.
Today I have done the homeschooling (so much easier when not trying to work as well) and I did PE with Joe with the kids. I must make the effort to exercise more. I am also going to make the effort to eat better as well, as I am sure this is not helping!
I did a survey yesterday which is asking me to test a managing stress app for two weeks - this is timely and will hopefully help.
Today I am going to take it easy and chill out."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -
I've cashed out £16.30 from surveys and will send that to savings/mortgage. I have done my PADs every day this month which is an achievement"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4

Glad you have some time off. Well done on the survey and the PADs. Stress app sounds interesting - let us know how you get on.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
