I’m pleased to announce I’m finally on double figures and have made it 10 NSDs
So, just wondering what everyone does about a planned food shop, do you include it in your NSDs or not? I usually do but have been debating whether I should or not. I decided after much deliberating not to include my fitness and running spends as I’d struggle to get a NSD some weeks, and I’m wondering now about food? I always shop at Aldi and I do only buy food, I don’t but clothes or stuff I don’t need say if I went to Tesco. So I’m thinking I might not include it, but then wonder if I should.......you can see this might take me a while to decide can’t you :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Well done Happy Monday:j:j:A and thanks
Re food, the rules are really up to you! You know yourself whether your spending is necessary or unnecessary, though food can fall on a spectrum as far as that goes. I take part in a veggie box scheme and because it is regular, automated and budgeted for and also consists of basic things like potatoes, onions and garlic, I don't include it. I shop once a month for other supplies and also buy totally unnecessary items like chocolate as one-offs and I include that spending. So, really it's your choice. It's a hard one to pin down.0 -
Hi everyone, I made it through the weekend without spending anything not budgeted for. Collected the weekly shop to avoid temptation. Spent the weekend doing free stuff like a lovely dog walk with my family. So that's 20/31 NSD for me. Pay your debts off by Xmas 22 #TBC - £0/15k

Thanks for your advice cathybird. I don’t include my DD for my mobile and car insurance, which I class as planned necessary spends, so I think I’m going to bite the bullet and say food isn’t included, as it falls in the same category (in my mind!) As long as all I buy is food, and don’t include any sundry items. There, decision made0 -
