A friend who is a paramedic and works with the Air ambulance went to St John's to build up his experience.
My two also go to St Johns and enjoy it.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Morning
Well - decorating is underway. Not dd's bedroom though as she's still not getting up before midday. I got fed up of waiting and decided to make a start in the living room. So 1. It didn't get tidied and 2. I'm sitting here in more mess and chaos than ever. We have 1 wall completely done with 2 coats, 1 wall with 1 coat done - thought we were a way along but we're not. Ceiling isn't started and neither is the paintwork. Mind you, I always find that the hardest part is just getting started. Once it's underway I really just want to get it finished. Especially now as there's barely anywhere I can safely sit and relax. I confidently predict that before dd gets up today I will be able to do the second coat on one wall, a first coat on the third wall and both doors. I didn't see her until after 1pm yesterday so god knows when she will show up today. She did enjoy the painting though so may be inspired to get up and help me finish in the living room so we can get on with her bedroom.
I hadn't thought about St Johns for her so thanks for that advice - I've registered an interest, completely without her permissionShe will be mortified with this because it won't sit well with her anxiety and wanting to fit in with others (bless her). However if that's the career that she wants then I think St Johns would be a great place to start.
So today is looking busy. As well as the decorating I have school stuff to do and a Z00m at 2pm and I need to have at least one corner of my room to sit in and have a presentable background! I need to visit Herr Ronn before ds notices the looming freezer chicken crisis that dd warned me about yesterday, and I might need to go out and buy more white emulsion (notice I hadn't mentioned ceilings yet?) Thankfully I feel like I've slept ok although my watch is saying I only had 5 hours and 16 minutes last night. Might need to get on before I crash out again. Diet still grand - starting day 5, which doesn't sound like much but if I said it was the best I'd managed for the entirety of lockdown then you'd know why I feel so triumphant!
So - first I have to have a cuppa and check through last week's student work (now down to 14% completion) and set this weeks. Two weeks to go... Then I will paint! Not giving up

Can you not blur your background on z00m? Saves tidying...

You are going at a fair lick. Just to say although more expensive the paint that goes on pink then turns to white is brilliant for ceilings you can see where you have been without getting a crick in the neck trying to differentiate between old white and new white. We found it saved loads of time

I did not know you could blur the z00m background. I know you can make it look like you're flying a plane or something but my background isn't usually plain enough for that. If my real background is a drying wall though I might be able to find a background that makes me look like I'm on a beach or something.
Thanks for that advice TDQ - I have never heard of paint that starts pink and dries white - but I really love the sound of it
School work checked and set for the week ahead - I'm getting really fast at doing it now.Not giving up

You could maybe sell the St Johns idea to DD by reminding her that they provide support at gigs and festivals [if they ever get going again].13

Good idea teapot.
I haven't mentioned it yet - she showed her face at quarter past twelve and I was working. The sun came out long enough to show me that 2 coats of paint actually isn't enough so I did a third coat of paint on the first wall, second on the second wall, first coat in one of the alcoves that I could get to easily and a first coat on both internal doors, which I think are going to need about a million coats.
I have gotten changed and done my hair in preparation for Z00ming in an hour or so. As soon as that is finished then I'm going to go out with dd for golden chicken plus some more DIY bits. Tried paint pads on the recommendation of my dad and they are quite life changing so I'm going to buy some more refills because the first one has almost had it after the work it's been doing so we'll need more for dd's room.
I am starting to ache though

I found the small sponge paint rollers were excellent for painting doors!
Good luck with the decorating 🍀'Money and good health is coming easily to Flypeople'11 -
Get you being all house-fixy and motivated. Lovely to 'see'. Good luck on your search for the golden chicken. Maybe the boy should accompany you on your quest? After all, he is the one who wants it .....

I never take him with me f0xh0les - I would need a second mortgage to buy everything he would put in my basket/trolley. Took dd with me after I z00med. Didn't need to worry about my background because my microphone wasn't working which was entertaining enough. I have tried switching off and back on again since the meeting so hopefully all is fixed.
So £42 spent - not in Herr Ronn but in f00ds of the frozen farm. Full to bursting freezer. Then home for coat 3 on the back wall and coats 2 on the doors, alcove and coat 1 on half of another wall (top where we don't need to move furniture as we need to wait for the finished bits to dry so we can move other furniture back and then move that furniture out). According to my fruity smart watch, with my 5 hours + sleep I have done 196 minutes of exercise today. All that whilst sticking to my diet as well - even if I did really want to get a roast pork sandwich while I was out. It's not a surprise that I'm quite exhausted - I must have worked up a massive calorie deficit and I will be quite devastated if I don't get up tomorrow and find all my clothes falling off because I have lost so much weight from this little endeavour.
Still to do - 1.5 walls from scratch, 1 alcove from scratch, 1 alcove needing 1 more coat, 0.5 walls needing 2 coats. Ceiling from scratch, door frames and skirting boards, which are already white so should be easy. And god knows how many more coats the doors are going to need. So I'd love to say that the end is in sight but it really isn't. Meh.
However, I am incredibly proud that I've not resorted to something very nice and calorific to eat.Not giving up
