Crazy Cat Lady Chapter 4 - The Aftermath

Hmmm, CCL. I think I'd be tempted not to launder any of his clothes for a week or two..... he surely won't want to go into school looking like a stinky mess.... your argument being that if he wants to live like a pig, go right ahead!
I remember back to Year 7 when I was refusing to tidy my room, my Mum said that if i hadn't done it by Sunday night deadline, then I would be staying off school on Monday morning 'until it was done'. I thought 'Yeah, right.... like they'll ever keep me off school for that!! " Did not clear up my room. Next morning, got ready, had breakfast, was just picking up my bag when my Mum said" Where do you think you' re going? You have your bedroom to sort out" I thought she was joking & said I'd get in trouble for being late. She said I should have thought of that & the longer I stood there arguing, the later I'd be. So I stomped upstairs & did it and when it had been checked, I was given a letter for my form teacher from my Mum to apologise for my lateness. She read it out to the whole class at afternoon registration. It said that I was to blame for my lateness because I had refused for two weeks to clear up my disgusting bedroom & they had insisted I do it before I set off to school.
OMG, it was so embarrassing! I was a bit tidier after that!

Hey
Flakey CCL returns again. I have become a slightly depressed, very anxious, flaky friend. Lovely Buffster just kicked my butt to remind me that I haven't been on here in ages.
Work has been very stressful in the run up to the end of term. I lost my whole form class minus 2 to isolation for the last week of term which I found more upsetting than I should have done (it happened at Christmas too) but the three of us that were in on the last day of term had a good laugh and played the quiz together etc. I had no idea just how tired I was until I actually stopped for a bit. I was very tired, and as I say mildly depressed. It's hard work doing face to face and online teaching at the same time and I have really had enough of it now.
The money situation is getting to me a lot. I've started racking up credit card debt again. I know that this is wrong in every way and I'm thoroughly ashamed of myself for doing it. But I rely a lot on my exam income and so far this year I am over £5000 down, which is a lot to find in terms of cutbacks when you're a single parent with a lot of commitments. It is starting to keep me awake at night a bit now. And every time I think I'm making progress or getting somewhere then I need to pay an unexpected bill, or buy school uniform etc. I know that I have gotten out of situations like this before, but at the moment it's getting worse rather than better, and the promised extra work and money I should be expecting doesn't seem to be materialising. It's almost making me cry just thinking about it now so I'm not going to say anything more short term.
I suppose at least I'm aware of it and not wildly overspending. I just hate getting into more debt in order to make ends meet. It's supposed to be a short term issue but is still dragging on. Anyway...
On top of that I have committed to further expenses that I can't cancel without losing out. Me and ds are going to Ally's neck of the woods for a week. We leave tomorrow... It is going to be a frugal trip - I hope. We're staying in an AirBNB which is paid for and going to be lovely (Ally has checked it out for me) and we are shopping and meal planning. Kind of hoping it will be a relaxing home from home for a week with lovely scenery, and catsSo I think that as it's already paid, and grocery shopping needs to be done whether I'm home or away... the only real spend plans I have are public transport, cycle hire and maybe one or two meals out. Plus my car does 65pmg if I drive it very carefully
Hopefully I'll get the chance to relax, and walk lots (I can't cycle - ds will cycle whilst I walk). Just need to bin the guilt off. I have not committed to any further, future spends for me or the kids so I will make the most of this week and just forget all of the other rubbish that is going on.
Anyway, apart from struggling with motivation I really don't want to be on here bringing everyone down with my stressful rants and worries.
Hope that you're all doing well.

I agree with Beanie, it is your diary, and we have missed you. I ran up a huge CC bill and have borrowed money and I don't have teenagers to feed, just the pets. And ok, there are a lot of them at moment. And hay is expensive......
