Made it to Friday!!! I am so relieved, and so. Very. Tired. I cannot wait to wake up in the morning, get up and feed the cats and then get back into bed for a couple of hours. It is ridiculous that I'm so excited at the prospect of a bit of a lie in though...
I ended up walking last night after my shower instead of my early night - another 4 miles. That means I've done 14 miles in the past 4 days which explains probably why I feel as tired as I do and as worn out as I am today. But it is good for my physical and mental health - apart from my stupid foot just constantly reminding me that it's there and it hurts. It now hurts in a different place to where it used to hurt but I will need another physio appointment to look at that.
We now have more kids out of school isolating than in school but I still haven't gotten lucky in terms of having a whole class out. I still have some in/some out situation with all of my groups. Thankfully I've had a free lesson this morning to put stuff online for them.
Financial situation is dire. It's only the second of July but things are already looking uncomfortably tight for the month ahead. And I have a day away at the end of this month. Thankfully that's been paid for up front apart from fuel and food so hopefully won't dent things too much. Then my week up north at the beginning of August. Although I've only paid the accommodation for that one. I just keep thinking that every month I make my payments I'm another month closer to being debt free. I have done this before and I will definitely do it again.
Don't think there's anything else to report. Just me moaning about being tired and the situation in school being completely unsustainable.
I do have a few issues with ds and his hormonal teenager attitude but I think that is my complete inexperience having never lived with a teenage boy so not knowing what they are like... I want to believe he's a good un and I think he is but some of his behaviours are just beyond ridiculous. And HOW do I get him to empty rubbish out of his room? Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

I got into DS2s bed on Saturday morning (he was on his games console on his chair) and started reading a book, and refused to get out of his room until he had a) emptied his bins, b)put his laundry in the machine, and c) hoovered his carpet. He did it in 3 minutes flat. Apparently I am just sooooo annoying.I did not even have to sing to him!Progress? Not sure, but I refuse to let him make my house smell like that. BleughHe is not finished yet, he is trying to make his cocoon, and after he has done his 'Very Hungry Caterpillock' act, he will emerge as a beautiful butterfly. It is supposed to be a natural evolutionary thing - they are horrid, so the parents are not too upset when they leave home.Yet another Darwin thing.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I remember when mine was 14 he made his one & only derogatory comment - he said women only earn pin money (I know where he got it from too). I broke my word to myself that day not to badmouth his father & told him that if that is all we make then he was going to have to find somewhere else to eat until his father decided to pay maintenance again. But I still have to ask him to bring his washing & washing up downstairs, he'll be 40 this year!

Hey Crazy Cat Lady,
I haven’t been on MSE for several years, but something possessed me to have a look again for some reason (ok, it was boredom mixed with finally paying off all my debts, so I don’t have the guilt to keep me away anymore), and saw that you’re still here and posting. I commented on your very first thread a few times when your cat was going through an operation, and I can see I’ve got a lot of catching up to do since then!

I like how you dealt with ds and his room @foxholes I will remember that as I can envision needing to use it with dd. Any tips on how to get dd to brush her hair thoroughly?Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Baileys_Babe said:Any tips on how to get dd to brush her hair thoroughly?Tell her she has to be upside down to get to the bits at the back when it is dry, and get her to comb it wet after conditioning and plait it. Once she has developed a love of the kinky curl she will start to take care of it - unless she is only 5DS4 has long hair and shaved sides - poor thing has spent the day telling the secondary school teachers he is not a girl - he looks like Peppermint Pattie from Snoopy, and the freckles do not help with his lack of manliness.I think he might be reconsidering having it quite as long as it is.Sorry CCL, went off on a bit of a tangent. It is amazing how stressful teenagers are. Even when they aren't doing anything, it is annoying. But then I am peri-menopausal and coping with hot weather, hot flushes, and face masks while moving 15kg boxes around the place for a couple of hours,is enough to make anyone grumpy, without coming home to man-babies who do not want to help out by clearing their own living space of mugs and glasses that they have managed to carry up 3 flights of stairs while full, but are unable to carry back downstairs when empty. But I think that might be one for the physicists.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
