4 weeks to go, home run now 😍Sealed pot challenge 822
Jan - £176.66 :j5 -
I am such a bad CCL - I keep disappearing off the face of the Earth and then reappearing promising to do better, before I disappear again for a few weeks.
Stress and mood is getting the better of me unfortunately. My mental health is poor and has been for a few weeks now. Mostly because of my finances and not being able to make ends meet as I would like to. I just don't want to end up in the same situation I was in 10 years ago when everything went wrong. I've been divorced and court case settled for a while now so I need to stop using that as an excuse. However, only I could get a promotion at the exam board when there's no work for the second year in a row. I rely so heavily on my exam money and am currently earning less than 10% of what I would normally bring home from there, with no entitlement to benefits or furlough and more financial commitments than I am currently comfortable.
Good news is though that dd got herself a job almost straight away, and it's a lovely little job in a small shop in the town we live in, and one she will most likely be able to keep while she's at college (C00plands for those of you in the East). Only 9 hours a week but that will give her enough money to take on the running of her car and have spending money left over. Whilst also not running herself into the ground. She's so excited and loves going, bless her - I'm very proud. She is one of only six staff so they're like a proper little family and are already making her feel very welcome.
The ankle is on and off. Some days good, some days not so good. I get out and about when I can. Work is really busy - they are filling up our time for us when I would really rather be thinking about the summer. And I have lots of deadlines to meet, and weekend work to do trying to top up exam money.
My motivation is totally AWOL though - I've gotten into cba mode and I am really struggling to get out of it. My mam thought that I was getting depressed again. I did the nhs check thing, and am not depressed but am very anxious. Never mind - that is my default position. It's just hanging on a bit longer than I would like this time.
Anyway - I don't post for weeks then just come on here and moan. What am I like? Not giving up

Oh CCL you are a teacher at the end of term with the standard here is some pointless busy work to fill your time AND if we could just focus on year X who we have been ignoring and catch up on the learning walks and lessons we didn't do whilst the year 11 were here OH and if you could just assess EVERY SINGLE student you teach and mark them and add the data to a pointless system we will ignore until it suits OR we need a stick to beat some one OR look like we are beating you with the stick or create lots of meaningless statistical analysis that is meaningless because they aren't standardised tests and not everyone actually did tests as such and wow. I can really get on my high horse about this. Also book looks.Nevertheless she persisted.9

Hey
I'm just doing a quick check in after another exhausting few days. I just cannot keep up with work. I don't currently have any full classes isolating but I have some students out of every class isolating. Which means that not only do I have to teach my normal lesson, but I also have to upload a lesson remotely for the isolating students - which none of them will bother to complete. I lost one free lesson this week to a fire alarm and another today to a completely pointless meeting. On top of the 5 frees/year 11 time I lost spending two full days with my form class. Plus we have 25 members of staff off and not enough supply staff to do the job so senior management asking for volunteers to give up frees to cover.
I'm so tired tonight that I'm home from work at half past five with a pukey migraine counting the minutes until I can get in the shower and go to bed. Ah well.
Three. More. Weeks. Oh yes. I still have a week after most of the rest of the country break up this year. If I survive that long. Roll on the six weeks break. Relaxing week in Scotland to look forward to.
