You deserve a day off. I have hemmed a flat sheet and put knicker elastic in it to make it fitted so this afternoon i am going to watch the cricket T20 match on tv  as a treat

You are funny! I’ve been much lazier than that - I’ve only moved to cook and eat; even slept on the sofa. I’m gearing up for a busy day tomorrow to make up for it though, I’m finally bored with being lazy! You seem to pack in many housekeeping/shopping chores; even some socialising and still say you’ve done nothing. 🤔

I certainly do have back to school itis f0xh0les. Too many unknowns for my anxiety to be comfortable with. It's always hard going back after 6 weeks out of the classroom. I haven't been in mine for 6 months, and I don't know what they've done to it while I've been away. Still, I'm sure it won't take long to get to feeling as though I've never been away. 
I have had the oven for 8 days and not used it at all yet. How's that for lazy? The kids have though and I have assisted in other ways. They are now having to learn to cook as per the instructions rather than adding on a gas mark and 10 minutes to make up for our rubbish cooker,
Went to the tip, with the car smelling very badly of cat pee - I suspect one of them had been territory marking on the old bits of carpet out there. Went to Mr M and bought ds his garlic bread, plus some salad and 'bits' (which means cooked meat, bread, sticks and dips etc) - so I have fed us all once today but still not used the cooker. 
Other than that I have made substantial progress with the shawl I'm crocheting (I'm not a shawl wearer at all but testing a pattern for a friend of mine), and I have watched something like 8 episodes of Teen Wolf with dd (it's not like the film I remembered from the 80's). In return for me having to watch her favourite Werewolf series, I have made her promise to watch The Lost Boys with me tomorrow (there are a number of striking similarities in the two - except obviously Kiefer Sutherland and Jason Patric are way better looking).
The kitten has slept on a pile of clean washing for most of the day - I suspect that this means he'll be barrelling round the house like a mini whirlwind for most of the night. Operation get-into-a-routine is ongoing so I'm going to make sure that we're all settling to sleep by 1030. Best get on and get in the shower then...

Oh, don't forget you have a new baby in the house! You need to let other people take care of you and feed you in your condition   That explains the decorating! You were nesting.        Everyone says you should sleep while they are sleeping.

I think you're allowed a few days off - I feel like I've done hardly anything this 6 weeks! Back to it tomorrow although the kids aren't back in until Wednesday. First struggle will be getting a decent night's sleep tonight and getting up in time to leave at 7 in the morning!

Morning!
I have just sent my baby off to big school! He's all grown up and was quite excited about being a big year 7 this morning. I dropped him off at the gate (but stayed in the car) and watched him walk in with a couple of friends. I can't believe I have no babies in primary - and one going into Year 11 although she's still off until Friday. We are going to have a couple of 'girl' days though - I'm taking her to have her nails off this morning and then we're going to pop out for 'socially distant' pub lunch. Might see if I can drag her out for a walk after that as well. I went out for quite a long walk on my own on Monday night - very reflective and I really enjoyed it. Monday was my wedding anniversary - would have been 8 years married and 18 together.
Anyway - we're off out now so I will check in properly later...

I still remember my wedding anniversary - 41 years!  I`m cross I remember
