Crazy Cat Lady Chapter 4 - The Aftermath

God the wardrobes are taking for EVER!!!! However, I'm onto the final stretch. Just the bottom plinth to do - 4.5m long and about 10cm high. Just breaking for tea. I've changed my bed and put a load of washing in so I can be proud of that.
I still need to put the new bolts on my wardrobe doors though - my screws are too thin so I need some 4mm short ones. Back to Scr3wf1x I go. Thought I would have done more but I promise I have not procrastinated since I wrote on here. Fitting doors that are over 2m tall on your own is quite a difficult job, and the door I found tough to get off has been tough to get back on again.
When I finish them I'm going to photograph it and you'd all better be filled with admiration, lol.
DD has been sorting her cupboard which is now part wardrobe, part shoe store, part spare bedding store and laundry bag store. It looks good, I'm not going to be modest about it. I just always felt resentful of it in the past because my ex would spend all day every day sitting on his bum.
Obviously at 7pm I'm not going to be starting any painting tonight - I will make a start with a bit of masking I need to do, round light switches, and the windows in the downstairs doors, and the stair carpet. Balls to the rest of it though. You're right, I've let it turn into a massive frog (because I've made a billion excuses) but now the bedrooms are just about finished (2 shelves to sort) then we're not lugging stuff up and down stairs all the time. And the stairs and kitchen are starting to let me down when I look at the rest of the house. I've just checked my paint - it's satin that I've bought. I used eggshell in the living room and didn't like it much - not sure if it was the finish or the brand though.
The Fall was quite good yes - I enjoyed lusting after a couple of the men on there. My bestie thinks it's slow but I liked it - predicted the end unfortunately though. I loved Chernobyl - that's one that I could watch over and over again and not get tired of.Not giving up

You have done masses though, and made dd happy as well. Well done you.Mum of the Week award goes to CCL. Speech! Speech!More clutter left the house for recycling and it is all extra space where you can breathe.I would leave the downstairs doors for now. 4 upstairs doors and surrounds is enough to be thinking of at once.It is a different job for a different list, in my house, the jobs stop at the bottom step of the stairs. Then it is a new level.Plus then there are only 2 doors to go until the new hall, stairs, and landing carpet!!You don't want to start resenting the jobs left to be done though. It is a tricky balancing act.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

What a brilliant achievement CCL. Will give the Fall a go. Just remembered that because I love Kiefer Sutherland i watched Designated Survivor. I loved it though my husband not so keen though he got fed up of both Homeland and 24 after the first series as he said they were too samey, I stuck with both to the bitter end10

I like Designated Survivor too!
Amazing work CCL XXXNevertheless she persisted.9 -
Re box sets... I enjoyed (if that's the right word!) 'Locked up'.....big Spanish prison drama but more of a thriller really. Also 'Cardinal'.... darkly grim Canadian crime drama.
