Crazy Cat Lady Chapter 4 - The Aftermath

Thanks for the box set recommendations everyone - I've written them in my list so will be checking them out. I started watching Designated Survivor and not sure why I didn't finish watching it, but I'd forgotten about it. No time today as I've been a busy bunny in the house and stuff but everyone now needs to get prepared to see one of the most boring photos in existence... and look in awe at my hard work. Sorry to my friends on here that have already seen it.

Go on - I know that you want to tell me that they're excellent.
Onto today. Woke up late and quite comfy in my new, light looking bedroom, with the cat duvet cover. Came downstairs, had a cuppa then went to Scr3wf1x to collect my new screws so I could put the bolts on the doors of the wardrobes. Got home and couldn't be bothered with doing the wardrobes so I decided to have another cuppa and do some crochet. DD got up and wanted to go grocery shopping though so I put more masking tape down while she was getting ready and washed the downstairs doors (I'm going the opposite way to you f0xh0les starting at the bottom of the stairs and working upwards). Then went to Mr S and Foods of the Frozen Farm and stocked up on 'essentials' including golden chicken and purple chocolate - it was milk for me.
Once we got home, dd unpacked the shopping while I went upstairs and put the bolts onto my wardrobes (so they're well and truly finished now) then I came down and finally (yes finally) put the primer on the downstairs doors. The kitten found this most amusing and spent ages chasing my paintbrush. I envisage little white paw prints adorning everything in the house now.
I've done all of the masking tape too so next job is scrubbing the wood paintwork in preparation for painting that. I'll clean tonight and hopefully be able to start painting tomorrow. Have to keep going now I've started again.
Starting to get work dreads. It's GCSE day Thursday and I'm dreading it after the farce I've seen so far. More than I'm dreading going back to work in the COVID era. Ah well - it's totally beyond my control. It's also the closing date for the job I went for so I'll be double anxious...Not giving up

Really glad the wardrobe refurb was successful, CCL. They look like normal modern wardrobes now, so if they were dark wood before, I bet your whole bedroom looks much lighter. Cats & paint don't really go together. I can remember years ago painting a big purple box on wheels for taking into schools, etc, to carry all my gear for various performances/presentations & I had the bright idea of using silver paint for all the lettering. My cat at the time managed to walk in it....only one paw, but that paw was well & truly coated & of course he'd walked it all over the kitchen before I realised because he was grey so it didn't show up. Then he got grumpy when I insisted on scrubbing it off before he ingested it! To date, he was the cat which cost me by far the most in vet bills, so slurping metallic paint was a scenario I felt we should avoid from the £££ point of view. I was very spendy back then & never had any money for emergencies. Hope your kitten doesn't get too painty. He probably thinks you have got that brush out just for his own entertainment!
