Haha, apologies, more normally written if his income made up 60% of our combined income, then he would pay a 60% share of our joint household bills :) x

  • Back from the gym and currently laying in the hallway recovering whilst kitten has a war with the strings hanging from my hoodie - I do love him 😍

OH seems a bit more reassured now I’ve said he’ll be getting payments through the month from me to repay the £500. Maybe it was just cos I sprang it on him short notice in annoyance about the house viewing. Well see how we get on.

Just going to reheat some stew then do a bit of tidying up, then my only real plans are to have a nice relaxing bath :)
  • Goooooood morning MSE'ers :)

I slept okay, the coffee has kicked in and I've got an excess of motivation if anyone would like some?! I've got £7 in my bank until Friday and absolutely nothing I need to buy before then. I did spy the £5 No7 gift set on MSE's FB but then talked myself out of it as the only real full size thing in the actual gift set is the pencil liner which I won't use, and I don't need a free eye cream as I've got a couple at home I'm trying to remember to use. What I may use as my tiny treat for the month is I have seen Boots are doing a free (full size!!!!) MAC lipstick with certain purchases now that they sell MAC, so I might have a wee browse online today to see what's eligible, and order on Friday if I still fancy it.

Not much else to report at the minute, just plodding along :)
  • Morning again :) one day closer to the weekend :) and one day closer to payday and doing some debt busting :)

Booked another slot at the tip for next Sunday, so going to slowly move through the rooms in the house over the next week and truly declutter. If we are moving again then I don't want to pack anything up that I don't have to.

I've managed surprisingly well with dropping down to hair washing every other day, dry shampoo is my best friend but I did note this morning that I probably could have gotten away with not using any, so it's definitely getting there.

Just had a chilled night with OH and kitten last night, tonight will be trying to squeeze in any SE work that I can as tomorrow is the last working day for invoicing. Then I know where my budget will stand for next month completely once I've done all of the work I can tomorrow.

Tomorrow's dinner will be slow cooked chicken chasseur, which I've never had before so I hope it's nice :joy:
  • Going to do debt total and percentage paid this time round I think rather than individual DT's, shake it up a little bit then less individual updating and calculating as everything is lumped together on YNAB as my Big Scary Debt Figure :) adding on the money I owe OH it went upto £5500, paid him £10 yesterday and had one £30 DD go out the other week so it's currently...

    ...£40/£5500 :joy:

Looking forward to the next few days to make some payments xx
  • I love chicken chasseur its one of my fave tea's in winter :) I wish I could of borrowed some of your motivation over the last few day's as I have been lacking.  I had a boots dilemma yesterday as my foundation (usually £16.50) is in the sale again, so I was stocking up but had to pay £1.50 for delivery or spend £10 for it free.  I admit I did have a browse for quite awhile (xmas ideas) but then opted to pay the delivery lol  x

Ooh excited to have it at some point now, only me in for tea tonight so just going to have something on toast probably, then doubt we will have a slow cooked meal tomorrow night as it will be hot, but I will get round to making it!

I will see how the budget looks when my wages go in tomorrow but I've been able to cram in more SE hours than expected this week so think I will have the teeny bit of wiggle room for a treat if what I want is still in stock. I am trying to slow build up a make up collection of solid favourites rather than cheap rubbish that I end  up keeping just because I've paid for it :joy: x
  • Good morning world :)

The sun is out, I put a wash on a delay timer last night to go out on the washing line this morning, I got paid and have jigged pennies around, and it is Friday :)

So far this morning I have:
    - paid OH £200 (this is now £210/£500)
    - transferred fuel and groceries money to their Monzo pots
    - topped up my sinking funds pots by their meagre £10
    - transferred £100 to my tenancy clean pot (£100/£125)
    - transferred LISA money to the account the DD comes from
    - topped up the hairdresser Monzo pot
    - topped up my prescription Monzo pot
    - made a couple of manual payments to CC's as I didn't get a chance to adjust the DD's in time

    OH debt stands at £210/£500
    Total debt stands at £300.73/£5500

Boots promo seems to have ended which is a shame, but clearly not meant to be. I'm sure there will be something further down the line.

Looks like there is some extra money to be budgeted but I'll wait until Monday to sort anything else out when all my DD's due for 1st August should have come out, and I can make sure YNAB is up to date. 31st pay date is a PITA when I start my YNAB's from the 1st of the month :joy:
