  • I was offered the option to reschedule if I wanted to for their next lot of dates when they are arranged, so I have opted for that as it's not cancelling the assessment, it's just delaying it.

Picking up some light cleaner duties on top of the desk work this week as our cleaner's son got sent home and needs to be self-isolated, but my boss has said he will pay me a little something extra for doing so, which is good as I had been doing what he asked me to today already when she was scheduled to not be in :joy: I also have 3 more days leave to use and only 2 weeks left, and we have come to a happy compromise that I will take the one day that I can whilst giving the contractual 2 weeks notice, and they will pay me for the other 2 as a discretionary payment, so a good morning/afternoon all round so far.

Now that I have agreed to reschedule the assessment, the giant knot in my stomach has eased off, so I made the right call there I think.

    Hey 😊

I think you made the right call to reschedule the assessment, I would imagine a lot is going to be getting cancelled and changed over the next few weeks or so. We just gotta ride it out and be mindful of our actions, the one thing this has taught me though is we live in a very selfish world. Humans suck at times! I understand why people are being cautious but there is also some serious overcompensating with certain things.

Great to get the extra pennies too, hope you are taking care of yourself

    Days to Orlando: 462- ☀️🎢

  • Yes the extra pennies will come in handy should OH have any issues with his wages. As it is he’s been at work all day, still waiting to hear anything concrete.

I usually go to a friends house but they’ve not long had an op so not having visitors for now, so just came home and did my shred, and now I am catching up on Supernatural online. They have paused filming so I have time to catch up before it finishes forever!

Now that I am not going to the assessment any more, OH and I both have the day off tomorrow. I mentioned tonight that once this all passes one of our top priorities should be to have at least 3 months expenses saved in case of worst case scenarios. I could have worked tomorrow but then my boss and I would still be in the same position of accommodating or paying more holiday :)

On the plus side, I don’t have the bank account that is changing :joy: it’s the one up from it :joy: so, my travel insurance still stands so all good on that front  lots of silver linings :)

Hope everyone is taking care of themselves xx
