  • Thank you :)
Glad to read you are feeling a little better :)
Well I had a relaxed time at my friends, now got my feet up with a face mask on. Was going to tint my eyebrows but just found out OH is only about 5 minutes from home and nobody wants to come home to find their girlfriend with dye on their eyebrows this time of night :joy: just a quick pointless post really as I finally attempt to use this forum on my iPad! Will catch up on diaries in the morning  x
  • It’s nearly Friday at last!

I got paid early so paid £250 off of my car finance today :)

Day 3 of the second attempt at the shred today, in some ways it’s harder to motivate myself with the lower level, but equally I’m putting more effort into the moves so I’m still working just as hard! I’ll be doing it on my lunch break again tomorrow so that when I am done with work for the day, I’ll be done with everything :)

I am currently enjoying my first evening alone in the house in well over a week. That might sound like nothing and I have enjoyed having OH home but when you are used to 2/3 nights home alone you soon notice when you don’t have them :joy:

Not much else to report, had fun updating YNAB with the second part of the months income and outgoings. Got some planned spends in there and the rest at the moment is just sat in an “unplanned spends” category, although I do want to see how long I can make that last. I should actually be okay as I have got birthday cards and Mother’s Day cards already, and don’t really have to worry about a gift as my mum is the other side of the world so they celebrate it later in the year. We tend to just celebrate the later one as it’s easier to buy gifts online over there in May rather than March :)

I should really poke my head outside and investigate the bins as I had to put them upright again when I got home and I am sure I have heard them fall over again. However, i am in my PJs now, so will probably just get OH to look when he gets home :) all I am in the mood for now is a quick bite to eat and some lazy TV!

Great news on the payment to Car Finance, seems like month ticking over nicely so far. I need to somehow find sometime in my work day to review YNAB, hoping today is quiet however i fear it might not be. The client i work for is having a huge meeting about some virus thingy that is on the news abit.....not sure what implications this is going to have on my working stuff. The client i work for is pretty high profile and they are going to be in the thick of it so are taking some very serious measures. I guess that is for the future and pretty sure most of the steps they take are going to be goverment based,

I am not really been all that worried over the corona stuff, however i am thinking of possibly hitting the nail on head with the gym for now, seems an over-reaction on my part but yet to decide.

Anyhow, have a fab Friday x

FootyFanDan. May be wise to hit gym on the head. I suppose it depends how well
    they clean the equipment.

  • @FootyFanDan I agree with @beanielou , they are supposed to be quite high risk places if they are not cleaned properly, guess it depends how much they are going round sanitising the equipment!
  • It's finally Friday!

Got quite stressed last night on the phone with OH as we have a holiday to Italy booked at the end of August which is fine, what will be will be with that, but I was actually saying that my bank were changing their reward account, and that would mean I would need to find new breakdown cover, phone insurance, etc. Then I realised that would mean we have no travel insurance anymore when they change it, which was the one positive thing about having our holiday was that I had a travel insurance policy in place at all times, so had expected we wouldn't really be out of pocket. I don't think I've got a hope in hell of getting a new policy at the moment, so I can't really see a way we wouldn't be out of pocket for the £200 spent so far. Luckily we haven't bought flights yet, but it's still not a small amount.

Restless night's sleep again last night, so will be secretly hoping for a nice early night tonight, the party animal that I am :joy:

The petrol in my car should last me until Monday, which should then take me up until payday (last working day of the month). I have just realise there are 3 more weekends until payday so that is 3 more food shops, but I should be alright if I just buy the basics on the last week and not stuff the cupboards and fridge/freezer.

I remembered to bring my workout stuff along to work, so will get that done as planned on my lunch break. Other than that, the day should tick along nicely into the weekend. Back to my usual Saturday of being home alone all day and just getting the house squared up. I really should check when my hair appointment is, though, in case it is tomorrow :joy:
  • Hi, you will still be able to claim from your bank for things that were booked whilst they were operating the insurance.

Ohhh fab that would be such a weight off my shoulders
Hope you have a restful day today

I had an unplanned early start as I had a hunch my hair appointment was today but couldn't find my appointment card, so needed to be up and mostly ready by the time they opened so I could call and find out, then basically headed straight out the door. However, since getting back I have done naff all other than lay on the sofa watching TV and had a nap  keep having a really restless nights sleep so I think I may need to start taking my scrip in the morning rather than in the afternoon
