Aww what a lovely Dad :-) and a very sensible way to allocate the gift to various pots with some over to treat yourselves,
lovely to see the ccard coming down and the savings going up

Good idea about the milk delivery, my daughter has hers delivered like that though the delivery is at 4 a.m. just in time for the birds to wake up (long before the household does) and she invested in a box with a hinged lid for the milkman to leave it in or the magpies peck the top off to get at the milk !

Thanks Boodedoo - we've not had any issues with birds yet but definitely something to be aware of.

Spends for yesterday were £35.53 on food, £14.18 on cleaning/laundry products and £5 on a new small saucepan.  Today will be a NSD as I'm on a double shift at work and have all my food prepared to take with me.

Saturday and Sunday were both NSDs.  Today I spent £5.50 on some instant coffee to take to work.

The £100 direct debit for the credit card went out today so it's now sitting at £990.30

Spends for today were £13.18 on tea out with a friend.  Was lovely to catch up especially after quite a difficult day at work.  Also added £5.82 to the holiday fund from cashback.

Will need to get petrol tomorrow.

£60.45 spent on petrol today.  Remembered to submit my mileage expenses for work for August which is good as I missed the cut-off last month.  Nicer day at work today which is also good

Thursday was a NSD.  Yesterday I spent £10.69 on cleaning supplies and toilet roll and £8.52 on nibbles and drinks to have while watching the opening match of the rugby world cup.  Oh plus we decided at work to have a wee treat from the local bakery for breakfast so £2.70 spent on a bacon roll :)

I've got a day off today so have done a few bits in the garden this morning and got a few loads of washing out on the line to take advantage of the sunshine and get it dried for free.  Rest of the day will be spent watching rugby and pottering about the house.  Had thought about doing a proper food shop but can make do with what we have got in so will put that off until tomorrow.

Enjoy the rugby, we will here, hope you aren't a Namibia supporter :-)
(I always feel really sorry for the losing team when the points difference is so large.)

Likewise Boodedoo - I found the 2nd game in particular quite hard to watch towards the end due to the difference in teams.

I'm a Scotland fan so looking forward to the game later, don't imagine we'll win though!

I'm working 9-1 today, a short overtime shift to do an activity which should be nice.  Then will do the weekly food shop on the way home.

Haven't posted for a little while as OH has been very ill and has been in hospital for the last 10 days.  He's on the mend and moved from ICU to a general ward two days ago.  His mobility and cognition are still poor but improving so hopefully he'll get to come home soon.

So all money saving endeavours have completely fallen by the wayside as I've spent a small fortune on coffees/food at the hospital and grabbing easy food in the way home, thankfully our local hospital doesn't charge for parking though!

Need to go through my receipts/banking app and update ynab to get an idea of where I am.  Also plan to go to the supermarket and do a proper food shop this morning.
