Saturday night, we got a takeaway which was totally unbudgeted but delicious. Tried a new place which someone at work recommended and would definitely get again. Sunday, we did a big food/cleaning/toiletries shop. Yesterday was a NSD
Definitely feeling very autumnal/wintery here so on Sunday we had a rummage through winter stuff to see what we need - gloves, boots for me, possibly a coat for me, hot water bottles, cosy jumper/hoodie. I also need to stock up on my candle supply and was thinking of getting some new throws for the sofa as the ones we currently have are about 10 years old and not very cosy anymore. Got 5 days annual leave starting on Friday so will probably head into town at some point.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

I highly recommend the teddy throws in Dun Elm. Ours was 8 quid and we've definitely had the heating on less.1

beanie - I've never actually tried the steak bakes, they were for OH but I do love their sausage rolls. We had sausage rolls, chips and spaghetti hoops for tea the other night, so not healthy but yummy!
monz - I work close to an Iceland and live close(ish) to one but it's somewhere I always forget about.
Daydreamer - thanks for the recommendation, we're planning to buy throws tomorrow so will have a look in there.
So since I last posted...
I ended up doing the night shift on Thursday night as well, annoying as it cut into my holiday but extra money is always good. Friday I met my friend for a late lunch which was lovely. Yesterday I literally did nothing apart from go for a wee walk and then sit on the sofa reading. Today pretty much the same apart from I went for a longer walk and also bought some things to donate to a Christmas hamper at work.
Not back to work until Wednesday so planning on spending some time meal planning/prepping and cleaning the flat.
Dieting has completely gone on the window which I'm blaming on nightshifts/super busy at work/totm. Weigh in yesterday, have put on 3 pounds in the last 2 weeks which isn't too bad but it will only continue if I don't get back on ww so plan is to start again from tomorrow.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Yesterday was super spendy. I popped into work to get my flu jab then me and OH went into town. We went round a few charity shops and I got 2 tops, 2 jumpers and a cardigan for £18
. OH got a couple of shirts, a pair of jeans and a jumper. We also went to Primark and got gloves and socks then B&Ms for toiletries, throws and a birthday present for OH's nephew. I then bought OH's big Christmas present and a wee present for my brother. Also filled up the car with petrol.
Today will also be a spend day as I'm going into town to meet my friend for a coffee and will go into the butcher's. Once I've got the meat, I'll make a meal plan and then pop to the supermarket to get everything else.
Got a reminder letter through yesterday about making an eye test/contact lens check so have made the appointment for end of the month. Will almost definitely need new glasses but can get a cheap pair as spend most of my time wearing contact lens.
I also got an email about my parking permit so will need to renew that, think it's usually £50 but have the money sitting for it.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Can't believe it's been over a week since I last posted, work has just been crazy busy. Car fund has taken quite a hit as paid the car insurance and parking permit. Not much else to report as literally just been working and sleeping. Had a day off yesterday so caught up on housework and prepped meals for the rest of the week so that at least I can still eat well even if I finish work late.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
