Yesterday was good. Nice pedicure and seeing a friend. Great gallery exhibition. Some food I didn't have to cook and a glass of wine. Funny, but I'm in no rush to eat out again. I've got out of the habit I guess.
I made a decision on the EA and went to tell them. The EA I will be using will be doing a visit tomorrow. The good news is I did some research on the individual agents and one kept getting great reviews. (Not the person I was allocated) He also sold the most properties too so I asked for him to personally manage my sale and he agreed. I got a good vibe from him.
I want to be up early tomorrow to get some gardening in before it gets too warm. Then cleaning and house sorting before the EA arrives.
I hope you all are okay out there.

I think a few people have got out of the habit of eating out during this lockdown. Probably realised how much they have been spending in the past and how much cash they have saved!Hope the EA visit goes well. 🤞Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

A stressful morning as I had to respond to a letter from my neighbour’s surveyors as they claim not to have heard from my surveyor. Blooming extension! I thought this had been dealt with! My surveyor is not answering and there is a deadline. I had to scan and send my surveyor’s letter they claim not to be aware of. I sent it signed for. Whizzed to the Post Office on my bike.
Rebooked the EA for Monday as too stressed today.
I have a roofer coming out to quote on Monday for the fascias; a personal recommendation from my decorator. Fingers crossed.
So, Monday will be the roofer, the decorator, the EA. It feels like things are finally beginning to move forward.
I’ve been eating poorly so made a tomato, courgette and basil soup. My ‘getting a grip’ always starts with making vegetable soup
My fridge/freezer is playing up. It is 14 years old so it owes me nothing. Cooker is rusty without a working oven and washing machine is making weird noises. If I move, I can dump them all and start again. Wouldn’t that be nice
Wishing you all a lovely end to your week

Fingers crossed about the surveyors DIA 🤞
When you mentioned the fridge freezer and Washing machine , you reminded of mine conking out around the time of my upheaval . That is annoying .You never eat poorly imho . Then again nobody is a fussy and odd with their food than me.
You seem to be in full flow with everything . There are always annoying things like fridges and important people dragging their heels ( surveyors ) .Have a great weekend regardless

All sounding good DIA, glad to hear your relative is OK.Message me if I can be of any help with your move plans.Totally agree about the kitchen decision - I would rather sort a place myself, agents seem to be split on agreeing vs pointing out that not all buyers have imagination about what they want, but all say it's fine if reflected in the price.RBDebt free May 2016... Sounds like things are moving in a direction that you want and towards your dreams. That sounds really good. With our kitchen we've given it a paint job, a new worktop and are getting 1 or 2 new appliances - but nothing further as a lot of buyers seem to rip out perfectly good kitchens regardless. At a friend of ours - they had spent £25K on a new kitchen before selling - and the new people ripped it out anyway.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Just caught up with your news since your return and sounds like you're in a really great place!
I always did think that your house/ surroundings seem to bring your mood down so it's nice to see that the ball is rolling to make your next house your home. And the lifestyle change that accompanies that sounds delightful. Will we be seeing you north of the border or is that a move too far?
Your female decorator/ beautician sounds like a great find! Once you find someone you like and trust, what a bonus if they can cater for multiple requirements.
I echo the others - I think your eating habits seem far healthier than most. You always have something delicious on the menu from my point of view.
So glad your relative came out of her operation well too, that's a relief.
