I can see why people end up fundraising for their local hospice. They do not charge and are not part of the NHS funding structure either. They had a plant sale and I bought a lovely houseplant for £2. They have a small book shop and I bought a new book for £2, probably donated by the publishers.
I bought a journal as I want to create a morning and an evening routine. I also want to start brain draining onto paper as I feel better when my thoughts and actions are externalised.
Last night I was back late from the hospice so I stopped in a local shop, an error to shop when hungry and tired as we all know.
I had a migraine and now I have a chest infection! I spent half the night coughing! (Not Covid as I do daily testing)
I am having a NSD today or I will buy a bike lock and visit my fave CS. Undecided...
Have a lovely day everyone.

I think that you are still doing amazingly well DIA 😼
Having said that, imho most of the weight will come off of your shoulders when you are actually moved into the new home that you will eventually find . ( my first diary will jolt your memory 😸) . The family situation is obviously something that is at the same time so to speak , so cannot compare too much . In other words, you will subconsciously be on auto pilot most of the time but you are made of strong stuff , and will automatically handle whatever is presented to you as and when as second nature .I would just say carry on as you are , and have the odd chocalre 🍫or crisps 🙀whenever you get that feeling . It's all temporary anyway . Keep nurofen in the cabinet🙀 ,and just try to not skip breakfast etc which I doubt you do anyway . The migraine could well be just the muggy weather ( which I hate and struggle with) .
It's funny that you are draining your thoughts onto paper . I used my diaries , and probably worn out all and sundry 😸. Good idea though .I think having a routine and sticking with it is the way to go . 100%.Anyway , I've rambled way too much . Hang in there . You're doing great
I'll leave it there 😼5 -
Thanks @another_casualty, your post gave some confidence that I am doing ok.
As for draining my thoughts onto paper, using my journal is helpful in dealing with feeling overwhelmed. I still don't have the routines up and running but they will come.
Thanks for the positive vibes @jwil and @beanielou
Thanks @MovingForwards I feel better today than I felt yesterday. I had an 'at home' day and took it easy
Today I took it easy until this evening when I went to the hospice, then I picked up some healthy shopping to bring home.
I'm off to house view tomorrow.
