We bought an £80 2 ring induction plug in hob early in lockdown as our hob stopped working. It was fab. If the oven doesn't work and you weren't planning to leave it for the new people then get rid.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Sorry to hear about the setback DIA .As others have mentioned , you'll get the right place eventually . You won't let this bring you down and by the time you have sold , more places may appear due to the current situation and getting Christmas out of the way 🎄sorry. My last home was an upstairs maissonnette as you know . The annoying thing for me being single , working long hours and socialising a lot more in the early days meant I never made the most of the garden and it was a pain trying to keep ontop of it .Horses for courses 🐎I guess .You are still doing great , and things will fall into place .6

MovingForwards said:Little mini ovens with the hobs on top are great, see if you can keep yours going until near completion and consider one for your new home; not good if cooking for more than one person and electric consumption may be higher than you are used to.
That's a good EF goal 🤗There is quite a wait for the council to pick things up and I don't want to be in a panic towards the end so will try and get rid. I will think through a cheap replacement that I can continue to use when I move.

Sorry you didn't get the place you wanted DIA. I must admit I would find it really hard to have no garden at all and would find a tiny garden best of all as it could be shiny and polished in a way that a bigger space never will be. I nearly bought a tiny terrace with a tiny yard in my 20s, one or two *coughs* years ago and I still have the planting plans I drew up for seating on raised beds and a wall fountain.

I haven't had a garden for years. Must admit I was never much of a gardener but do yearn for a little patio with some mature plants and a reading area.......😊🪴Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Thanks for the posts everyone
I've gone from no garden to 'what was I thinking?'
Off to the new area today. I will eat a decent breakfast so I won't be tempted to buy any food out. But will treat myself to coffeeOne of the houses I was going to look at that is quite shabby and would need work (but I could see lots of potential in) is now house of the bloody week so I am going to view it today instead of next week. It may not be right but I don't want it going before I have time to make up my mind. In total I have 4 viewings. Next week a friend will be coming with me so I can get second opinions if need be. I've been complaining about overspending and now see these recent trips are costing quite a bit in monthly fares. Will try reining in the food budget to compensate.
I try and support independents and don't have an A*azon habit. I rarely use them, but after buying my supplements in the health shop yesterday I looked it up and it would have cost £8.50 less with A*azon with free delivery...hmmm....
The account I've been trying to close is turning into a farce. Into the branch yesterday and the counter not working. I WILL close it by the end of the week. Grrrrhhh
Queued in the PO for 40 minutes (read in the queue!) but returns done and parcel sent to BF abroad. A few cards sent (not really sending them this year)
Off to get ready to rumbleHave a good day everyone.
