Hopefully the virus will not affect anyone. However, it is worth while being careful and considerate of the situation. My go to mindset is getting extra in just in case. I do it all the time if things are not good, storms, live events or anything. A well stocked pantry of healthy stuff like dried lentils, dried beans, rice, tomatoes, oats and tuna is better than a few take aways.
The sleep restrictions plan is effective from things I gave read before, but needs determination. My sleep after living near a rave disco was terrible. I was rather glad that disco reduced it's hours.
As regards leggings I bought the Spanx ones, a discounter had them and i prefer a dearer product discounted than a cheaper one with no discount. The quality is better. Any t shirt from primark tend to wash poorly and the last leggings I bought in primark transferred the dye onto my skin.
As I'm between seasons and loosing weight some of the clothes are not great. I'm going to do a big declutter and bring it back to good clothes that don't look bad. I have jackets. One in particular looks terrible, all dust is attracted to it and looks messy, shapeless. I will want to find a smart causal jacket, easy to wipe clean with a sharp look. Something that works with runners or a dress, I'm honestly looking for the impossible!

A survey (.... for a bit of light relief)
You need to self isolate. What 5 things would you ensure you have (essentials such as food, clothing and basic toiletries are covered).
Mine are:
1) Skincare - okay technically, this is 8 items, but I'm including as one. If pushed - I would bring The Ordinary squalane cleanser, Lush tea tree toner, The Ordinary Natural moisturing factors.
2) Body Brush - to reduce cellulite, exfoliate the skin and increase blood flow to the skin. I don't do this as often as I should, as its not a task I enjoy.
3) ipad - I can surf the net and also read magazine and books via my local library.
4) Coconut oil - I can use this as a hair masque, on my nails and as a body moisturiser.
5) Nars afterglow lip balm - a lovey light, tinted lipbalm.4 -
No posts for a couple of days. I do hope it's the site that's putting people off and that no one is unwell. I'd add smileys but I find they're working very intermittently at the moment, generally only text comes out unless I use the ones on my phone.
We should have been flying off for our break today but it's cancelled. I'll get a full refund with ATOL but we decided not to rebook anything because of the current coronavirus situation. We're living quite normally day to day but booking flights that may end up being cancelled again seemed a bit silly.
Apologies if I've got it wrong but I think it was savingmore that was doing the sleep experiment? How's it going? (I dare not look back as that's how I lost a post last week).I'm a real night owl. I'm never in bed before midnight. I had to take myself in hand the other week as it was creeping well past 1.00 a.m. It's because they've messed around with the late evening radio programmes that send me to sleep.
The dresses arrived from H&M. I like the shape but not the colour so I won't be keeping them. They remind me of the overall my grampa used to wear for DIY!
I went to the hygienist yesterday so my teeth are pearly white. She's new (to me) and she did an excellent job. I've had a good pamper this morning and (as we're just a week away from the event I plan to wear a strappy dress) I started on a bit of fake tan mixed with my body lotion.
Sorry this is a bit 'me, me'. Do post and let us know how you all are?

I always read along but don't seem to have anything interesting enough to post
Been suffering with quite bad depression for the past few weeks but started last week taking a new medication so hoping to feel more myself in the coming weeks. My self-care has taken a back seat because of it, but I did start using a really good fake tan which helped perk me up a bit! Though I have seen that they are now discontinuing the specific one I use, I did buy two bottles on offer so I should be good for quite a while. This morning I managed to persuade myself to do my proper skincare routine rather than just rubbing my face with water whilst in the showerI am visiting a friend tonight but when I get home I'm going to do a quick face mask and tint my eyebrows. At the end of this month I plan to try out getting my eyebrows properly "done" for the first time ever.
I started doing the 30 day shred and was getting some good results, but that also took a dive with my MH around day 18 so I plan to start doing that again today. I lost 2 inches around my waist after the first level (10 days) so want to see the whole thing through. I'm using it as a way of kickstarting exercise to get me back into the gym/exercise classes.
Sorry to hear about your break @maman we have a trip booked to Italy but not until much later in the year, so hoping things have levelled out by then!

Good Morning Lovely Ladies.
Currently on the train, enjoying the scenery. Despite the less than auspicious circumstances of my visit I have enjoyed the break. Always good to see SIL, we get on well and we have had a good time pottering about, shopping, eating out, took her to see Military Wives. Didn't do any of the usual tourist sightseeing.......tbh I've done most of it before. Edinburgh itself was definitely quieter than usual. I think the tourist industry is going to be hit hard.
Maman. I too have decided not to forward book anything for a while. I'm betting that once the worst is over there will be plenty of travel bargains to be had.
Stocks for self isolation....well I've thought about this.......😉
Assuming I'm not actually unwell and it's just a case of trying to avoid putting myself in harms way..........then chocolate of course, 🤣. Some nice nibbles, wine, gin, books, films etc. I will be fine. 😁. Plenty of beauty products for some pampering. I also have paint, fabric etc so I can get on with some of my furniture upcycling projects. I also do need to do some serious decluttering and spring cleaning.
I have got plenty to keep me occupied and amused.
Hope you all stay well. Take the necessary precautions and then try not to worry.
Worrying never solved anything.

Hello Ladies,
On Sunday I went to a party at the wine bar in Herne Hill that I go to regularly. Wayne came and picked me up in his car and enjoyed the party with me. (I did not want to go on my own). We had a really good time together, so much so, that even though we had to leave ridiculously early at 9.45pm, I was full of aches and pains because I had danced the night away with Wayne. He gave me a lift home as well.
I am not doing anything different because of the coronavirus. I have always bought everything my daughter and I need and want way ahead in large quantities as a matter of course, so we will be covered in the event of having to self isolate. The coronavirus is having a negative effect on all types of restaurants in London and as my daughter is a waitress in one of the restaurants in The 02, she has been asked along with her colleagues to use a day of annual leave for the last 3 weeks, as the customer footfall has dropped sharply.
I am going to Karaoke in Leilani tonight. Now that he weather has really improved, I will try to go to more social events, rather than staying at home where it is warm and cosy. I am also trying to find new events to try this year which are free or else at minimal cost to myself.

I have noticed that my commute to work is a little bit quieter - it feels a bit like half term in that there are still lots of people, but not as many. In saying that, it could be busy tomorrow.
I decided to join the hoarding a stock up on loo roll. I went to Costco and the queue's was 20 people deep. I didn't have time to queue, so I left. In my defence, I have always bought loo roll from Costco, as they last for 6+ months. We still have a few weeks worth, but I do like to buy before we run out, so technically, I was only doing what we normally do.6 -
Sounds like your trip to Scotland went well LL, as much as can be expected for the reason you went. It’s lovely you still have good relationship with your husbands family, it doesn’t always happen.
Mamman, well I am on my 7th night of the sleep restriction. My doctor told me it was brutal and she was right! but I feel it i should working. I amy not allowed in bed before midnight and not allowed to stay in bed beyond 5am. so have to stay up. always been a night owl, but it’s the evenings I am struggling with. I am desperate to go to bed about 8-9 and it’s so hard staying up, right now I almost feel sick with tierdness, but this is part of how it works, as i drop i to be done and sleep for five hours, so my sleep efficiency is getting higher and higher. I don’t know if this will change after tomorrow or I have to do it for another week. They review your sleep diaries after 7 nights. I do know I will have to keep the 5am wake up time and they will alter the go to bed times. will keep you all uptodate.7 -
Hello Ladies,
I am feeling really ill since yesterday evening when I came home from Karaoke. Hopefully I just have a really bad cold or the flu, but as the next few days unfold I will know for sure. My throat is painful and raw, so is my chest. I have been shivery and hot at times, even though I do not have a temperature. I ache all over as well.
