Get well soon Ladies .It must be worrying feeling ill at the moment , with the virus about
They've stopped flights to India, until 15th April, so I feel sorry for everyone who's going to miss out on their hols"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Good morning lovely ladies.
Sugarbaby......that sounds grim, hope you feel better soon. Do take care.
Savingmore.....hope you get your sleep patterns back in sync soon. One of the things that has helped me is to reduce my computer time, and keeping my bedroom completely tech free, not even a TV.
My DIL, who works at a university, has been advised to start preparing her work so she can work from home. She says they have been advised that a complete shut down of universities and schools is fairly imminent, although they've not been given a date yet.
I am pretty well stocked up and although I am not going to completely isolate myself yet I shall now be reducing my exposure by avoiding public transport and places of entertainment, etc. Today I'm nipping out to B&Q for paint and diy materials and Sainsbury's for a few bits. Aldi was fine yesterday but DIL sent me pictures of Morrisons where shelves had been stripped. I picked up some new shrubs from Aldi yesterday.
Last day for the decorator today. The kitchen is starting to look nice, the white beams and ceilings make such a difference.
Just caught the news .....USA stopping flights from Europe, except U.K. - looks like it's time to step up the precautions.

Good Morning All.
It's my birthday today but not really sure what's happening. Our original plans for a city break were cancelled because of Flybe rather than coronavirus but it has left things rather flat. It's a lovely, bright day here so I think we'll get out for a walk to try and lift my mood and then see what the day brings. I know DD1 is coming to see me after she finishes work but not made a decision about this evening.
We've got quite a few events planned in the next couple of weeks but very uncertain whether they're going to happen. It's not the events in themselves, more the concern about the uncertainty around what's the best thing to do. There are so many opinions flying around, it's hard to know what to think or what to do for the best.
I think it's the powerless feeling. I suppose I'll just keep washing my hands and hope for the best.

Happy Birthday Maman. Sorry your plans were thwarted but maybe you could do something really nice when things calm down again. Anyway hope you have a lovely day. X
First case confirmed today in my city today. so that's it. I shall try and stay out of harms way now. I shall not be travelling on public transport or attending any public gatherings, just essential food shopping. And given that I'm pretty well stocked up I don't think I could probably hold out for a few weeks. The only thing I'm likely to need is fresh fruit and veg. If push came to shove I could manage without........I have some in the freezer - not a huge range of choice but enough to keep scurvy at bay. 😂.
So I will just hunker down and wait and see. As I said in an earlier post,
provided I don't succumb and get sick, then I have plenty to keep me occupied.
If I get sick........then Que Sera. No point worrying in advance, worry doesn't change a thing. If anything it can make matters worse, depleting energy levels and making us tired through lack of sleep and lowering resistance.
Stay safe everyone, don't panic but just try to be sensible and do what you can.

Can't go back and edit......should read I could hold out for a few weeks. 😂
Meant to say I watched a woman in the supermarket today. She manhandled about 6 cabbages before making a choice😡. Some people eh.5 -
I am not changing anything about the way I'm living with the virus. I just went on the tube to the GP. I'm struggling with my MH at the moment. I have been diagnosed with OCD by a psychiatrist and have had to up my medication.
I am due to go out this weekend and don't really feel like it but will push myself. I have been wearing the same two dresses one after the other just washing them each day as I can't be bothered to think about what to wear at the moment.
Ho hum.5 -
Not much fabbing at the moment as heavy prep work for getting in extra dry goods. I have enough to weather the storm ahead. It's not panic just realistic to have extra to limit shopping and knowledge of the fragility of supply chains. I never worried about brexit but this could be on a different scale.
I have seriously enough to last a good while. Italy is showing what the future holds for us. If the incident of viral spread is lowered to a copable level that is better.
The menu will be rice and beans, daals, lentil soup, chickpeas, spicy noodles and veggies burgers. It will be heavy on the legumes and rice. I stocked up on rice in the Asian food store. Tins of beans and tuna, I got dried milk and tea in.
I hope that the mental health will be ok for everyone isolation is powerful as it removed hope and social cohesion. It is terrible. Live is better together but sometimes it has to done.
As the numbers increase I fear more as the risk of infection spreads, knowledge is power.3 -
I feel a bit better today, weirdly!
I read that OCD can be caused by low serotonin so I have been taking 5HTP tablets this week (which is a herbal thing that is meant to be a natural antidepressant) and I have started going for hour long walks to get daylight again.
I'm going to do what I can if it is something that simple to correct!
I am not sure if the concert I'm going to this weekend will be cancelled because of the virus. I just saw that the Belfast one was so I will have to check today. I am going to still go out to see The Invisible Man and have a meal even if the concert is called off.
I said to my husband that I couldn't be bothered to sort out my clothes lately and I was wearing the same two dresses over and over. He said he had noticed, lol.
Back to fabbing if it cheers me up. I went to the charity shops before my CBT session today. I got some brown shoes, a nice brown handbag, three dresses and a blue scarf. I will wear a new outfit tomorrow when I go out.

Arrggghhh. For Christmas, we bought DS tickets to watch his team and the match has been postponed due to the Coronavirus. The match is halfway across the country, so would have involved an overnight stay. Luckily, I didn't pay for the hotel room, so I have been able to cancel for free. I have been told that we can attend the match if/when it is rescheduled, but the distance means we are limited in when we can attend matches. DS is going to be so disappointed.6

Good afternoon lovely ladies.
Decorator finished kitchen - well his bit. Wahoo. So pleased with my colour choices, it looks so bright and airy - no more Miss Haversham gloom.
I still have to colourwash the brick feature wall and then paint the cabinets but I'm going to have a little break first. The good news is it came in well under budget so I can justify splurging on an island unit. 😂. I've already bought some foam padding and fabric to re-upholster my dinnng chairs. If I say so myself it's going to look pretty fab-u-lous when it's all finished. It's looking pretty good already. Amazing the difference a few litres of paint can make.
Next week I will get a grip with some serious spring cleaning and decluttering. Going to have a bit of a rest this afternoon because my Tummy is rebelling against the paint fumes as usual. Should be ok tomorrow. I've got a bowl of sliced onions on the go and I've flung all the windows open.
Personal fabbing wise I have booked a massage and a haircut for next week and I will give myself a skin peel over the weekend.
The bad news is I'm still hovering around the 11stone 8lb range but the good news of course is that I didn't put any weight on whilst in Scotland. Hopefully my tummy will soon settle and then I can get back on the WW wagon.
Hope you are all staying safe and well. I've ordered some books for when I need a break from diy, decluttering and spring cleaning. Just going to try and keep busy and not fret over what may or may not happen. I don't mind my own company - I'm used to it now - so self isolation shouldn't be too much of an issue for me as long as I can keep occupied.
Sugarbaby - thinking of you. Hope you are ok.5
