I must admit, like Maman im not feeling this new forum site either. Don’t get me wrong, the old one clearly needed an overhaul, but I can’t seem to get on with the new site and it makes me not want to post (even though it means missing you lovely ladies).
im not one to overly worry about certain things, but I have been paying more attention to the C0ronavirus developments. I work in Central London so have to commute to work on public transport, which I assume must be like Disneyland for the virus. I’m not so worried about catching it myself, but I’m thinking about my family. My contribution to the panic buying frenzy is one solitary bottle of long life milk (because my morning cuppa is essential!).6 -
At the moment I'm going to the gym, being more active and proactive. I have managed to completely invert my sleep cycle by some unknown means. I normally would be a night owl and struggle to wake early. Now I'm waking earlier and sleeping by 10 at least. It's all very odd.
I've purchased some leggings but gone for the good quality as I hate the waste of cheap pairs with saggy knees and rears. I've been more active and even if I don't seem to be loosing kg fast the energy boost alone is worth it. I hit 15000 steps yesterday and for me that was a record.
I admit that at the best of times I would have a well stocked collection of tins of beans, lentils and chickpeas. I've gone heavy on the rice, spices and oats. All dried stuffs. I know that I'm a high risk due to expose risk and underlying respiratory and health status. I spent about 100 extra on the dry goods but everything bought will be eaten eventually.
I feel really sorry for all the staff affected by the flybe closure. It's a really pity, more so as the owners failed to allow extra investment from the main companies. It is a loss to people in regions of the UK underserved by other transport links. Corona virus was an excuse for final closure.

Which leggings did you buy?4 -
Sugarbaby - I am going to see The Invisible Man next weekend after reading your review.
We have an evening of comedy to go to next Saturday and we are going to book the dogs in to the vet for the night. We are seeing the American comedians Steve Martin and Martin Short at the Royal Albert Hall. We will go to see the film first and probably go out for a meal too.
Maman - I'm happy you found a new dress you liked. I don't think I have ever ordered a dress from H&M. I have been into the actual stores but not for a while.
I agree that I don't really like this new forum layout. I have typed out long posts and then lost them a couple of times now, it's very irritating when that happens.
I am cleaning the house today as my brother is coming over to look after the dogs while we go out to see Stereophonics. I am not too worried about the coronavirus, I have to say. Maybe I should be, lol!

saving more....me too. all my life been a night owl, no way i want to be in bed by 9 and waking early...I do think it’s age. anyway I haven’t slept well since my dad died in 2004. was fobbed off my my lovely doctor that it was age, menopause etc. etc. chatted to my new doctor recently and she signed me up for online sleep station (you can pay for it privately). she says it’s brutal but works. so after a long questionnaire and a weeks accurate sleep diaries, they say I am an ideal candidate. (i fall asleep fairly easy but have the restless night and 3am waking etc). so.....I am on severe sleep restriction for 1-2 weeks. can not get into bed before 12 and have to get out of bed before 5🤪🤪🤪. on day 2 and survived. funnily enough according to my fitbit, I actually wasn’t restless for over 4 hours of that time and had much longer in deep sleep than usual. will keep you posted...if it works it will be a miracle! also de died to work hard on diet at same time and trying the fast metabolism diet by hayley pomeroy. a good friend in the states told me about it. as someone who has studied nutrition since age of ten, this is an interesting concept. so far on day 4 I like it, and it’s working. you do it for 28 days. 3 phases. 2 days on one thing, 2 days on another and then 3 days on third. repeat for four weeks. then continue if need be, or maintenance or one week a month. we will see.
hope your time in Scotland is rich for you LL.8 -

Good morning lovely ladies.
Had a good journey here on Wednesday. Funeral yesterday. All went well. Not many attendees but as FIL was 97 he had outlived everyone.
Weather has been kind so far but has taken a turn for the worse this morning. Off to see Military Wives later today.
I am not going to fret over the coronavirus either. Worrying about things never affects the outcome anyway.
Of course I won't take unnecessary risks and put myself in harms way so I have cancelled my cruise. I don't fancy being quarantined on a ship for weeks on end.
But, I'm 69 and so far, I have had a great life. If my numbers up then so be it.For me, a good life is about quality not quantity. A short (ish) but interesting, happy and fulfilled life will be enough for me. If I am blessed with longevity too then of course that would be wonderful, but it would be the icing not the cake. 🤣
Que Sera, Sera.
Have a lovey weekend............keeeeep fabbing.

Hello from down under
What is that book called please maman? Sounds really interesting!
For good quality leggings I always got mine in morrisons. Found the colour stayed and they didn't sag at the knees. Will have to get my mum to bring me some!
i have spent so much time outside that my fabbing is a little neglected. Have a lovely tan but need to give myself a manicure and pedicure lol!
still haven't really got into a routine so not been going to the gym or batch cooking etc as never have time. I'm going to the posh supermarket today to puck up some freshly healthy prepared things so I at least eat better as apparently they've sell some. There is not much healthy convenience stuff here, no nice m&s meals lol! It's either make it yourself or eat total processed rubbish like nuggets, chips pizza etc.
Somehow I haven't put on weight but I'm definitely flabbly and all my weight is on my tummy. Need to sort that out!
Glad the weather is picking up now in the UK, it's now autumn here but still like summer atm:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j6 -
Good to hear from you clippy. The book's called One Last Summer by Catrin Collier. Not sure if it's in print as I bought it from the CS. 😊5
