Sugar baby. I think you’re right. I think my body is rebelling, hence the infections. Had a progress scan at chiro today, not great I’m afraid. One step forward, two back. It’s the constant tiredness that’s the worst. And I think it’s when I’m Tired and run down that the infections take hold. Did some shopping on way home, had lunch and fell asleep in the garden. At least I got some sun.Hot and humid here. Heavy rain due tomorrow.4

Managed to cut the grass after my nap, before tomorrow’s deluge. Dr prescribed high dose Vitamin C to hopefully help with energy and turmeric for reducing inflammation And pain. Can’t take NSAIDs. Shame because they work quite quickly. I’ll just have to go the “natural” route and be patient.
Its very frustrating though. There’s a fine balance between rest and living a normal life. Lazing around is no good because I just completely seize up and the pain is worse than ever. No good for the heart And circulation either. But it’s easy to overdo it and set myself back to square one. Or even worse. Just need to learn to pace myself better.I’ve been told I can start (in fact need) to exercise. Yoga and Some cardio. I can’t run though and Swimming and/or classes are out because of Covid. So I’m going to start dancing at home. I’ve got some Dance and exercise dvds so when my son comes on Thursday I’ll get him to set everything up. Exercising at home is probably best anyway because I can go at my own pace, little often. Rather than trying to complete a whole class. Just need to find the motivation to go it alone. 🤔5 -
I think you must be the original Money Saving Expert sugarbaby. That will be quite a saving on transport costs. 😉
At the start of lockdown I did some very simple exercises LL. I have BBC Sounds app on my phone and do them from there but I think there are videos online. It's called 10 Today, just 10 minutes of simple stretches. I must get back to them. 😊
I'm using the Sounds app quite a lot recently. I've always liked the spoken word on radio rather than music but I'm getting more selective. There's so much dumbing down with presenters who behave more like DJs than journalists and speak badly that I'm constantly turning off live radio. You can use the app to listen to programmes on catch up and there are some audio books. I've just listened to A Room with a View, a drama of Poirot and they're serialising a Poldark novel too. 😊

LL have you ever tried bromelain? I used it for ages and then stopped but I've started again. It is a natural substance from the pineapple plant and it is very good for the digestive system but is also an anti inflamatory. It isn't the cheapest supplement but I do find it effective.5

Good Mornjng lovely ladies.Well my iPad is allowing me to access MSE once more. No idea why, I have not done aNythjng, it's just decided it wants to play again after all. 😂 Weird.Pixie .thanks for the bromelain recommendation. I'll certainly bear it mind, if the tumeric doesn't help. Probably best not to take both at the same time.Just had a massage. Nice. Feel quite a bit looser. Certainly helps with the Muscle stiffness. Just need to find a balance today, between activity and rest. It's a filthy day, so doubt I will be gadding about. I'm glad I managed to cut the grass yesterday. I did think about nipping to Sainsburys to look at their autumn knitwear but I am expecting an Amazon delivery so probably won't manage it today. There's no hurry.Maman.....more and more it seems that I'm avoiding mainstream tv and radio. I just can't stand the vacuous inane presenters either. Gawd that makes me sound like a right grumpy old woman doesn't it, but I can't be doing with their endless drivel. As for news analysis and current affairs.........it's dire. I do want to know what's going on in the world. I have always been interested in current affairs but I want objectivity and truth. And yes "I can handle the truth" 😂. Even if it's unpalatable. What I don't want is bias and downright lies. More and more it feels like we are living in Orwell's 1984, with the powers that be trying to manipulate everything.....or maybe I'm just getting paranoid in my old age. 😂🤣.So now I'm being highly selective with my viewing, listening and reading habits. I just switch on for the news headlines, scan the schedules to see if there is anything that takes my fancy And that's about it, otherwise it's books, my own music collection, Netflix Or Prime, and catch up. For my own particular interests the best tv seems to be BBC4 and occasionally BBC2, sometimes channel 4.I was reading about the difficulties facing the media industry in general, apparently channel 4 are struggling because they are losing a lot of advertising revenue.Life does seem rather surreal at times, when everywhere you go there are people in masks and face shields, where there are signs constantly remindIng you to be vigilant and where tannoys are issuing instructions and reminders, where everything has to be planned In advance. I do miss the spontaneity of pre Covid life.Hey ho......better safe than sorry I guess. One day it will be over. I remind myself nothing lasts forever. This too will pass.In the meantime I'm going to work on my health and fitness so I am ready to start really living again when life returns to something resembling normal.Carry on Fabbing. 😁

It's quite autumnal here today. I had to go out to get my thyroid medication and I took my peacock feather umbrella as it is a golf style one so more sturdy than my little leopard print one as it is very blustery. It's a pretty umbrella.
I just tried to book a flu jab but the pharmacy said it was too early and the Boots online booking wasn't working. I did a load of washing, cleaned the bathroom, vacuumed and mopped the floors.
I took my duvet off the bed a few weeks ago when it was hot and just used a sheet. I wonder if that is the end of summer now and the duvet should go back on!
I'm going to curl up in my chair and start a new book I got for my kindle. The Beck Diet Solution: Train Your Brain to Think Like a Thin Person.

That's interesting Wednesday. DH got a letter from the local pharmacy (Lloyds) this week about flu jabs so I assumed they'd be starting soon. Our GP has always made a point of promoting them widely, they'll even do one ad hoc during another appointment as they routinely ask everyone if they want one. If they don't do them this year then that's a lot of extra work for pharmacies. 🤔
Interesting that KFC and John Lewis are dropping their slogans, albeit for different reasons. I wish the government would drop theirs! 🤣
Quite a performance for my dental appointment this afternoon. After I'd phoned them they sent me 2 emails. One to conform my appointment and give me all the Covid precautions ( wear a mask, don't take personal belongings, don't take money, wait outside until called, don't expect to use their loo etc etc). Then they sent me two forms. One is the health screening as it's so long since I was there (December) so have to update that. The other a Covid screening form asking if you have any of a long list of symptoms. Both had to be returned electronically before today's appointment. We'll see what the appointment brings! I don't know about you LL but a friend went for a massage locally and was asked to take her own towel which had to have been washed at 60 degrees. She's normally an eco friendly low temperature person so she had to wash one specially.
I was thinking this morning how much packaging affects my choices with beauty products. I bought 2 Nivea products to try as I read some good reviews, an eye cream and a face wash. Both are perfectly good at what they do but I so much prefer the glass jar and squirt bottle from my usual Clinique range rather than the squeezy, plastic tubes. Sometimes it's genuinely the convenience of packaging (I like a body lotion with a dispenser) but sometimes it's just the luxury feel. I'm ashamed of myself. 😟5 -
Had my hair cut and coloured. Pleased with the colour, I think she did it a bit too light last time. She commented on how fast my hair is growing and how much thicker it is so I was pleased about that. She has started using a Dyson hairdryer which does seem nice but they are alot of money.6

Im relaxing today, I light the fire in the stove because the storm brewing outside is something terrible.
I had to cancel the gym today as got botox yesterday, The doctor prescribed a lazy day and following it to the letter. My muscles in my arms are sore after exercising too much and daily I am doing more exercise, if I can keep my weight lower it will make a difference.
I agree LL about the avoidance of excess news- it is easy to get sucked into the negative and neverending stream of news- much of which we can not control. 24 hour tv has the same talking heads and opinions. I try and limit it to morning and while cooking the dinner. Podcasts are better as I can learn more, dive into a topic and listen to something really interesting. I prefer history on tv, I can not watch the reality shows- more so this year.
