I have booked a night at a hotel at the coast again for our anniversary in October. The anniversary of when we first met as our wedding anniversary is in November. I had two boyfriends when I met my husband in the club that night. I dumped them both for him.
It's a different hotel from last time but it got good reviews and it's cheaper as it is in the autumn.
I was saying on another thread on here that I thought I lost my favourite cardigan back at the Stereophonics concert back in March. I found it yesterday in the sleeve of my coat when I was looking through my wardrobe for clothes to declutter. I was very happy as it is very flattering.
Chanie - the idea of that facial freaks me out. Did it hurt at all?

That party sounds really exciting sugarbaby. Do you have a white outfit to wear? 😊 It'll be good to get dressed up. We're going to the theatre on Wednesday. It's being done cabaret style where you book a table rather than buying a seat and you can have lunch beforehand too if you wish.

I've had a good pamper session this morning. I used the Veet cream on my legs quite successfully and put a deep conditioning treatment on my hair. Then I did all the usual creaming and moisturising. It really is good to look after yourself well!!😁6 -
Hello Maman,
Yes thanks to my holiday to Jamaica last year, when wearing lots of white was appropriate, I own white skirts and tops. I also have a new pair of Van Dal leather sandals with gold trim that I having been waiting to wear for the 1st time. I also have a beautiful Ralph Lauren white leather handbag to complete the outfit, so I am really looking forward to the party5 -
Sounds fabulous sugarbaby . You'll look amazing but I'd look like a 👻!... but a stylish one! 🤣4

Wednesday - facial didn’t hurt, it was just like shaving. There were times when I was thinking ‘OMG, this woman has a razor blade on my face’ but I just had to keep putting that out of my mind.
maman your theatre trip sounds like fun. It’s nice to see that some Theatres have found ways to adapt to social distancing.
sugar your all white party sounds like fun. I don’t think I own anything all white, the threat of stains puts me off. It will be a great opportunity to glam up.
i have just got back from a trip to the Clark’s Shoes outlet in Elephant and Castle. DD needed some new school shoes but she has difficult feet and Clark’s is the only place I can get shoes to fit. I bought her 4 pairs and saved £60, so it was worth the trip. DD said she was like me because she was getting lots of shoes!6 -
School shoe trips are the thing of nightmare, you are a brave woman Chanie. My kids were a nightmare to fit and Clarks weren't broad enough, they'd have suited the boxes more than the shoes.7

I remember it well. DH has always been more reasonable and democratic than me. I remember one trip where he told DDs that we would only buy shoes that everyone agreed on. Result... came home with no shoes!
It's not easy. DGD had the same style of Start Rites for years as that was all that fitted properly. Now she's older and lives in her wardrobe of Converse! 😁6 -
DD was surprisingly compliant in Clark’s and we got what we needed with no fuss. I Iike to think now have a good eye for finding shoes she will find comfortable, but the likelier explanation is that I agreed to get her McDonalds after we bought the shoes.

Back to Saturday jobs... my Daughter-in-law worked at Clark's in Bolton, and used to fit Peter Kay's kids school shoes. I used to work in my local Spar shop and also collected milk money 2 nights a week, so I had more income than a YTS when I was 18 in 6th form with a 21 y.o. employed boyfriend (who later became 1st husband).2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

yes - i was thinking the same how strange so many of us were m&s girls. I used to have to get shoes made in clark’s when younger as I have slim fit, it was a nightmare. choice of two awful ‘styles’. absolutely hated it. no wonder I love shoes and one of the areas where I will spare money. however, never been this long without wearing heels, not sure I will be able to when an opportunity arises, may have to learn the skill all over again, .or practice wearing them around the house🤣🤣😢6
