PurplePixie, I always buy the bin men a box of biscuits at Christmas (used to be beer but a couple of mine now are Muslim) and they have just happily taken 2 extra bags of waste old wallpaper from the decorator 😁2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Floss we aren't daft are we, keep the bin men onside and it stops a lot of hassle. I took a full load, seats all folded down in the MPV and the only problem was I had to clear it out afterwards as even though I put plastic bags down and everything was bagged there still seemed to be twigs and bits of grass and foliage everywhere. Still it is all gone and I am happy.6

Went into Sainsbogs for the first time in months ( have been having deliveries). I bought a lovely little sleep set - a nice top and some shorts in a cotton with zebras on. Just had a tepid bath and put them on, so lovely and cool.
With an eye to winter as I think we will be spending more time at home indoors then, I also bought a twin pack of leggings which I normally don't wear, but thought they would go nicely with some of my dresses in the winter.Debt free and Keeping on Track6 -
miss my bath Mrs Porridge, we had a wet room fitted when Mick was diagnosed with MND so the bath had to be removed because its only a tiny bathroom. Yesterday was my Uncle's funeral, despite restrictions in the church it was a lovely send off, wall to wall sun, he loved the sun and travel. Him and my Aunt (my late Mum's sister) have travelled the world on cruises and fly holidays. He passed from alzheimers at 82, so had a good long life. My Aunt is a fit lady, still driving and good with tech etc. We will make sure we keep her busy with coffees out and plan to take her for lunch later this month for her birthday. She was so good when our Mum had alzheimers, she never missed visiting her when she ended up in a home.Enjoy your Thursday everyone7

It's our wedding anniversary today and we're venturing to a restaurant for the first time since lockdown. Our last evening out was exactly 5 months to the day on my birthday. 😊
We swapped our bath for a shower last autumn when we had the bathroom refurbished. We had an overbath shower previously and that's all we ever used. I love the big shower cubicle and power shower. 🚿
It's still really hot and humid here, none of the promised rain has arrived... yet. We're about 4 miles from the Test cricket so it could come. 😉🏏 If it stays hot I'll probably wear my new strappy dress tonight. I'm pleased that it fits after 5 months! 🤣8 -
Happy Wedding Anniversary Maman. I hope you and your husband really enjoy your meal and the ambience in the restaurant tonight.

Hello Ladies,
Even though it finally rained last night and this morning here in south London, it is still very hot and humid. I find the heat difficult, as it gives me oedema in my legs, which can be painful. I have a large chrome electric fan and I have been forced to use it 24/7 for the last 4 days, as I need to be comfortable throughout the day and night.
I am still home cooking even in this hot & humid weather. Yesterday I cooked jerk chicken wings and some chicken breast fillets. I will use the chicken breast fillets in my salads later in the week. My daughter and I had jerk chicken wings and half a packet of Tesco pilau rice with Lidl mixed veg and gravy with cooked mushrooms, onion and red pepper yesterday for our dinner. It was delicious, so it was worth getting all hot & sweaty cooking the chicken.7 -

maman happy anniversary.
Sugar your chicken wings look delicious.
Me and OH went out last night to celebrate 17 years together. We had a lovely Thai meal and got 50% off under Eat Out to Help out). We didn’t reserve a table, but as we got there early, we managed to get a table. Whilst we were eating, we saw people being turned away.Yesterday, me and DD picked some blackberries. I think I normally pick them too late in the season, as the ones I pick in September are normally really sharp, but these ones are lovely and sweet, so I’ll have to remember that for next year. I have frozen the first batch, so I may pick some more.5 -
Happy Anniversary Chanie. It was good that you were able to get a really nice Thai meal with your husband.
