Frump to Fab - A Whole New World.

I wonder if lorraine had a job that encourages and supports more self care. It would be likely she would have better access to experts in fashion and skincare. Use of cosmetics would be normal and not seen as a vanity.
I have seen a lot of academics seem to go to the more frumpy side like that excessive self care and make up are not worn. A lot of people think too much make up (my normal layer of make up ha ha) is a sign of vanity and non cerebral interests. I have seen it so often that it looks like certain industries will encourage a more plain jane appearance. Men are encouraged to stick to the old tweed jacket sterotype also.
I went to the charity shop yesterday and got 2 pairs of jeans. They were only 2 euro so i didnt even try them on. a pair of 12 and 10 both fit- It is motivation that my long term changes have really impacted. Honestly all the healthy eating is going back to what i was doing. I fell of the wagon for about 4 years and slowly gained weight (and stopped wearing makeup for about a year), it is a case of turning back to what works for me - make up and eating 90% whole food plant based diet that is low in refined carbohyrates. I still eat meat but not everyday or week. As it stands Im eating down the stock pile of legumes and getting more creative.

maman said:I don't know if anyone watched he last programme in that makeover programme (You are what you wear) the other evening. I've enjoyed that provided I keep my finger on the fast forward button and skip to all the clothes. I liked the tall, slim stylist both for her own dress sense and the suggestions she made for others. Her own outfit was very much like my Zara maxi dress and I loved all the outfits she chose last week for the young girl who wanted to look confident and professional for her new job. Sorry Wednesday but jumpsuits featured heavily n the whole programme.4

I have never heard of Bettany Hughes. Lorraine Kelly has always looked the same age to me. I read she is 60! I always thought of her as being about 40 but then I'm 44 so she can't be, obviously.
I saw Kim Basinger the other day on screen and looked her up on wiki and she is 66 now!
Living in London I used to see "famous" people (radio DJs/ TV presenters) quite a lot around the Soho area and I am always surprised by how slim they are. TV must really add weight as most people I have seen have been ultra slim in real life, even the men.
Speaking of weight, I am worried about my blood sugar as type 2 diabetes runs in my family and I heard on a podcast that low carb is the way to go. I have basically cut out bread and pasta. I gave it a try and I lost 6 lbs last week! Really shocked by that. I will see if it was just water weight next week after my weigh in next week.2025 GOALS

I love how high the bed is. It's a bit smaller than my own bed, a double rather than a king size but it is very comfortable.Having a really lazy day......high winds this morning but warming up nicely now. Sitting out in the garden which has views over open countryside.6

What a lovely cottage LL, all done very tastefully. Windy and wet here too. Enjoy chilling out and relaxing with your family. My Daughter, Son in Law and Grandson left just after lunch (left overs from friday) will miss them. Hopefully see my Daugther and Grandson soon as they are having some work done on the house, new boiler and radiators, its an army house. She can come up here and work from mine rather than be in all that mess, it will be school holidays when they start

up early, showered and hair washed. Desperate for my colour but couldnt get apt until 25th July. However, apart from 4 fringe trims I've coped well with my hair. It is fairly thick and naturally curly. I had a bob which tbh I struggle with, never get the shape at the back right. Its grown out and people are saying that they like my hair slightly longer, i use cloud 9s on it, seems easy, thinking of leaving it longer
