I only use contactless on my phone because of the added protection of needing the old finger print :)

£30 limit is a pain in the bum mind but its so handy when popping to the corner shop, getting caught in a round in the pub etc etc

One thing is, make sure your mobile bank app is great at receiving the payments as soon as they are made. My bank right now is showing about 15 outstanding payments because of the holidays. The outstanding payments are being deducted from my available funds so I have no chance of going over drawn but not all banks are so quick from what I have heard from others

thats a bummer! Which would you say out of all the app is more accepted in the uk and worldwide in shops? I think that is the key question. I cant really find an answer online, but i believe samsung only came into play 2017 and apple and google were around long before

I pay by mobile (Google Pay) more often than I use a contactless card.

Not all banks or cards are accepted by all apps. For example, Barclaycard can't be added to Google Pay or Samsung Pay - instead you have to use the Barclaycard app.
    Debt Jan 2008: £45,566. *** June 2013: DEBT FREE! ***
Paid back just under £50,000 due to some interest added.

I imagine that they are all accepted wherever you can pay via contactless card - I've certainly found that over a few thousand transactions in various places using Google Pay so I suspect the others are the same

I do use my Barclaycard on Samsung pay but via using a curve card i.e. the curve card is on Samsung pay and then Barclaycard linked to the curve card

Really? Barclaycard is the credit card but about the debit card? I would have thought all banks would now use the main apps by now.

You evidently misunderstand the difference. "Google Pay" is still called "Google Pay"; "G Pay" is more akin to a brand or acceptance mark for the service:
    https://pay.google.com/about/

Android pay was re-branded to Google pay or G Pay as google like to call it :T

They are one & the same.

£30 limit on G pay & Apple pay is the set amount for contactless payments. Retailers can have a agreement with google & apple to increase the limit to what they are comfortable with. But most stick to the £30.
