Well, I am drinking vodka....but it's the first one and I didn't pour it until 5.20pm, so taking that as a win 😀
How can it possibly be easier to ignore banal chatter from colleagues when they're in the same room than when they're not??? My work has decided that constant communication is clearly the key to coping with remote working and I'm being bombarded with constant video calls, What's App messages and chats in Teams - both with several different groups 😠 With that and the usual two email accounts to monitor, I don't know whether I'm coming or going 😦 My personal highlight today was when a video call was set up to have a natter about non-work things and no one could think of anything to say, then within the hour there was a big back and forth on Teams about what people were having for dinner!!! Apparently when constantly being asked how I am feeling "Irritated because people keep interrupting me" is not considered an appropriate response! And no, I don't want to see any more photos of your pets (which I then need to delete out of the gallery on my phone)! Or your gardens. Or humorous GIFs. I just want to get on with some work 😢!

Anyway, money stuff. The new 0% card arrived today, so have activated that and put in my purse. Will use this for everything for now and instead of transferring money from the pots to the current account as I spend it I'll transfer it to a pot to pay off the credit card so that if the SHTF I have access to some cash and won't get hit with a normal month's credit card bill at the worst possible time. Direct debit set up for the minimum payment. Have also applied for another card to BT a balance on yet-another card which is carrying a balance of BF's. He was planning on clearing it when the 0% runs out in a couple of months, but now isn't sure he'll get all the bonus he was expecting so this gives him another 18 months.
I now have a credit limit of £40.2k spread over 6 cards, which is absolutely insane. I can see why there are so many people over on DFW in such a pickle 😯 Once the BT goes through and the payment BF sent yesterday clears I'll be closing 2 (possibly 3) and down to £23.2k (possibly £19.2k) but that still seems a bonkers amount! It's a good job I've always been a natural saver fortunately....😮Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

£40k? Yikes. And I thought our £14k was excessive.Rule 7: If you're not changing it, you're choosing it.

Yes DH is having a nightmare with group chats. My worst one is my family - 24 posts since lunchtime - they are clearly not working.... We have humongous amounts of credit available to us and it has definitely been a factor in our debt levels.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Saving Holmes you won’t want to join my corona family group chat then, it’s way busier than that and includes lots of photos of pets, food and stupid Facebook posts 😂MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4

I'm closing Teams between real meetings and let them get on with it.
No one's twigged yet, as I "join in" around real meetings and then drop out... 😇
And I hate that the working day is now between getting up and evening meal time for some people... 😠If it's not adding up, compound it!6
