OMG, just had to go through about 5 screens to cancel the free trial of Amazon Prime that I never wanted in the first place and couldn't turn off once it had added 😠 I expect a hard-sell over the phone from a person, but not a faceless website! It's like they genuinely can't believe that someone WOULDN'T want it 😯
Sorry, still working on that positivity thing....Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

I've always been terrified that I select the free trial amazon option by mistake, and now my fears have found a concrete reason! Hope you eventually got it sorted.4

Blimey! What a morning.
Hope the OP credited.
We flip prime and notflix every few months, mainly so we get free shipping for black Friday and Christmas. There are some good shows on both, but not a whole years worth. Thinking of adding now to the mix as well since everything's viewed by box sets these days.If it's not adding up, compound it!4 -
It was very frustrating ElmoR, even when I finally got to the screen confirming I had ended the trial, it had the option to re-start it as though it thought I had gone through all that palaver by mistake! I didn't even think about using it for TV Grogged, I'm a bit of a tech dinosaur I'm afraid and don't even have broadband (benefit of no kids 👍) so I'd have to do TV on my phone, which I definitely could not be bothered with
So the bit of work I needed to do and thought would take about an hour (1.5hrs at most) ended up being almost 4 hours, so not impressed with that. Also, BF and I have been Flybe'd for an upcoming trip, so been trying to work out what we can do about that. Flights are being refunded (at some point) by the CC company, but not the hotel as that's still trading and that cost a lot more than the flights! Oh, and I idly logged into my pension account to see the coronavirus impact and it's down 8%! Didn't think it would be that much! The scheme from my old job is (was) worth about the same amount, so I'm guessing that's had a similar drop (no online access to that one - probably a good thing!) So it appears I'm still hunting for positivity, and I'm also very tired
Ooh, I do have some positive thoughts - lunch out tomorrow and a day off on Monday to look forward to. And I'm currently supping blackberry liqueur (again, something I wouldn't get away with if I had kids!) May stick the telly on and see if I fall asleep for a bitMortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Hi sc, if you are going to give now tv a go take a look on amaz@n for cheap one month vouchers on sale, I’ve seen them go as low as under £3 for a month. Loved your comment about drinking blackberry liqueur, however I have to disagree as I found having kids drove me to drink more 😆MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁1

Thanks NG, I only really watch ITV3 though so will stick with Freeview 😀 Good point about the kids!
So I did have the nap - on and off for about an hour and a half! Woke up and it was almost 7.00pm, so needed to get straight on with dinner. And then of course I was still awake at bedtime. And then woke up just after 6.00am this morning 😦 Wish I could sleep like BF, he has no problems at all and just doesn't get it when I'm struggling. I think that's a common man v woman thing though?
Anyway, today will be a better day 😀 Have a feeling I may spend money this morning, but have a cunning plan for getting it back, plus a lovely lunch to look forward to. Have good days all ☺Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Good shout about buying through Amaz0n ng!
As a man (cough) I couldn't possibly comment... 😴
That said Mrs G and I are in different time zones early bird vs night owl...
Good luck with the cunning plan and the lovely lunch! If it's not adding up, compound it!2 -
Lunch was amazing - on the sofa with stretchy trousers and a glass of wine now - bliss 😂!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Pension down another £1500, so that's £3k in a matter of weeks 😮 Think I'll stop checking it now....
In brighter news, mortgage down to £28,575.82
I know this is the time to buy, buy, buy, and have toyed with sinking a couple of months' money into my S&S ISA instead of OP's, but I don't think I've got the nerve for it. At least with an OP I know with 100% certainty what effect it will have. Sinking money into the markets and seeing the value fall, fall, fall and then eventually (hopefully) creep back up is just not the level of drama I need in my life right nowMortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
