Sounds a bit drastic!shangaijimmy said:I've realised that without sport on tv, I literally watch nothing! Maybe I can declutter some tvs from the house...
How about putting some screen savers on them?
Y0utube has some long playing vids of fireplaces or swimming fish in tanks, maybe even undersea sharks! If it's not adding up, compound it!3

Grogged - He does NOT need any encouragement to shop more, thank you very much!
SJ - I read the first 10 or so pages of your diary earlier this morning when I couldn't sleep - you were on a massive de-cluttering mission then as well!
Had a bit of a snoop round yesterday evening to see if I can do some de-cluttering on my days off this week, or if I am just paranoid from reading too much Becoming Minimalist. Very quickly found my old driving licence (genuinely no idea why I kept this, I moved almost 4 years ago and it's not even a different picture), a towel my old boss nicked for me from a hotel we'd stayed at for a work jolly (can't recall what prompted her to do so and I don't think I've EVER used it in the c10 years I've had it 😮!), and a bikini that I never particularly liked. So yes, my name is South Coast and I am a secret hoarder.... Will have a proper go at it later in the week. On that note, what is a suitable amount of packaging material (bubble wrap/cardboard boxes) for someone who sells approx 2 items a year on ebay to keep in stock??? I tend to keep everything that comes into my house and have a feeling I have waaaaaay too much. Not sure I can bear to part with it though, may gather it up and put somewhere out of sight!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Aaargh! Just opened my airing cupboard and saw the fabric of a single duvet cover poking through the underside of the top shelf - I don't even have the single duvet any more, think that went when I moved house! It's alarming how much you see when you start looking for it (and equally alarming that I evidently just walk around blind to it the rest of the time 😯)Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

One more bit of clutter-shaming before I go and annoy BF - it's a good one 😂:
A glass I identified for de-cluttering about 2 months ago and has been on the corner of the kitchen worktop ever since....now removed!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Well it would appear I need to do a very rapid very large declutter! Being over 70 it would seem I am going to be forced (police state anyone) to self isolate for about 4 months. How many bottles of whisky is that? Do the supermarkets even stock that many in any given day? Who on earth are they calling elderly?

I think it is hilarious that they have told us all for the last few years that we should all work longer and that even 67 is too early to retire - and now they are calling 70+ elderly.
Clutter-shaming - that's a very scary term especially for my house... my hoarding tendencies are under-control honest..... or maybe not....
