So mowed the lawn today after my last work meeting. It was soggy and hard work, but its not going to get any easier, and at least it collected up some of the leaves.
Went to the gym this morning for the first time in a while, but didn't do too much as it was the first time in a while. All the steps from mowing the lawn didn't count as the battery had run outI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

thanks Dan - glad its not just me, but we have been embracing the return to nature approach to gardening. However our front lawn was beginning to look abandoned and not just wildI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Ours isn't too bad, however because the neighbour has nothing better to do than cut her grass ours looks worse somehow haha. Although the way she complains to postman you would think it was like a forest lol5

Out and about down to the garage for OH car's service and MOT, paid just under £200 for both and got a warning that brakes need to replaced in 6 months. I can live with that, I now have all the spends insurance and MOT for both our cars spread about 3 months apart so never too much bad news at once.
went down the pub this evening to see a couple of friends and had a good walk (garage and back and the pub and back) but also had a beer which is not on the diet but was good to see friends, and I can deal with paying £4 for a beer much more then £2 for a diet cokeI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Medium spendy week/weekend, but not outrageous. Just food shopping and a coffee. OH was busy with friends and charity work so I stayed home and pottered
The result of the pottering was eating a good few administrative frogs (fradmin? or frogmin? or I seem to recall I called them FEBs but that was in March) resulting in a pile of letters posted this morning after a walk to the local post office. By pile I mean 5 but that's a bit of a pile nowadays - DVLA, HMRC, and some pension onesI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

the DVLA one was a multiple frog as I had to do some on line stuff, then get it printed then get it posted. so a veritable army of tadpoles have met their demiseI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Well done on the FEBs and tackling tadpole sized tasks while still small. You've reminded me of my list...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
