I hate that when the pedometer doesn't show the steps. It shows how important that feedback loop is to our motivation and self esteem

HI SH.  Weight has been level, we are doing Schrodinger's diet, in that we are both on and not on it.  Steps reduced today but nearly on target as I type.

Sorted out some certified copies for various transactions.  I know we took half an hour of the lawyers time, but £80 for 4 signatures stung a little bit.  Ironically they insisted on being paid in cash when I was getting stuff signed for someone else's mandated Anti-Money Laundering reasons

Filled up the car with £20 Petrol so I had enough to get to the cheaper station near my work, but goodness knows when that will happen, only 3 days in the office last month and none / none planned so far this month

So I have decided to do some work today (on lunch break now) so I can take a day off in lieu when it is a lot nicer than it is today, and we might not be quite so locked down if I can push my spare day out past 17th May

My friend who was standing in the local elections is pacing up and down, as our area is not declaring until later today or even Sunday if its close.  Although he had a good majority before, the general trend in England seems to be blue-wards so it is a bit uncertain.  Well we will see.

Good results in Wales though which is good

I am always utterly bemused that people forget the Blue Team have been in power for the last 11 years, but Boris has convinced them that they are under new management for the last 12 months  and everything is the fault of the Red team on the local council,  or of the Yellow team when there was a Blue/Yellow alliance and they bullied and steamrollered their way into decision making.    I am actually hoping this might stop the Red/Blue stranglehold on our democracy and maybe it is time for a few new more progressive parties to come to the fore.   Sadly without PR it ain't happening, unless there is a Green Eco Enviromental Action party with  Sir David at the helm....

Politics.. best leave that one alone....
Well done on the steps Mark. I agree paying cash was ironic.... Although for a solicitor £80 sounds cheap compared to some prices I've heard... I think I'm in the wrong business

yes and no SH - not talking about politics is the blue party's biggest weapon - they have been very good at making a criticism of them a criticism of the country and vaguely unpatriotic - which couldn't be further from the truth when you look under the covers.  But I do agree there are plenty of  other places to discuss this, and I don't want a heated debate (as Mrs Merton would say) on this thread so let's leave it there

Scared to wade in on the politics front but quietly despairing...

Your talking of steps is inspiring me to find a pedometer somewhere...
Well done on keeping your weight level. Mine went up a bit due to spending ages in a hospital and then buying crisps and chocolate on the way home! But the damage is limited and my eye is on the ball again now :)
