OK thanks to the gentle peer pressure above (for which I am very grateful)  I have done a Balance Transfer - managed to find a 0% fee 12 month card to transfer my £7K of interest bearing debt.  It was £6K last time I reported but my car had a major overhaul following its MOT so that added a bit more.  An hours fiddling about will probably save me £300 interest before I can clear it, and that's a good plan.

Reporting back after a busy week at work, same as it ever was, but its still fun - this time its an unlikely project but the team are good.

Did another session at the gym 5K brisk walking and 5K on the rowing machine.  Not quite #beatyesterday more #beatLastFortnight certainly faster and stronger than last time

Will end the month with a positive bank balance but has been a bit random with CCs and BTs etc, but February will see the CCs put away and trying to get back to normal

Well done Mark. Definitely getting back on top of CC use and preferably cutting it off will help. Good news on the interest saved

Been a while, mostly because nothing exciting has been happening, but also because I have been a bit under the weather and rather lethargic.  I have a day off today so I going to start my day with a visit to the gym - then a roast chicken and Caesar salad for lunch.  Was OH payday today so may go out for a meal later.

Steps gone back under 1.5m since this time last year which is annoying, but this time last year I did a lot of walking on holiday and I haven't caught up with them, not by a long way (or in my case a short way)

My OH and I are making a real effort to eat healthily and it seems to be working I am now 107.5kg a loss of 2.5kg this calendar year, most of it in the last 4 weeks.

Finance still much of a muchness - I will clear the cost of my youngest's care bills at the end of this month and then make a dent in the outstanding balances - even at 0% I Want them gone.

@mark55man sorry to read that you have been feeling a bit under weather. Great that you are seeing the positive benefits of your healthy eating efforts.  Don't overdo things with the step count if you are still not feeling 100%.  Slow and steady wins the race.

    Thank you @savingholmes and @Humboldt

Did a long walk on Saturday, and a shorter one yesterday - was good to get out in the late afternoon and still be light (although sunny would have been better)

Well done. It all helps. I got out in my garden Saturday before Sunday's wind. That did me good too.

feeling a lot better - amazing what a bit of sunshine can do for you and a couple of hours looping into town and back

going on a lastminute seaside holiday in a couple of weeks with our youngest and their +1 - that should blast the cobwebs away and get the steps up (also Pasties and Ice Cream likely to increase proportionately).  Long time readers may recall we used to go in Feb half term, but we don't need to do that any longer so lets see if delaying a month takes the edge of the chilly winds and I can go for an early walk without looking like Scott of the antarctic

thanks all for the good wishes
