So the get ready for Christmas health kick begins tomorrow. I weighed in and have a trip to the big smoke to kick start my steps. Been to the shops and have a healthy keto-ish breakfast ready for my 06:00 start. I always like that Robin Williams line from good morning Vietnam = It's 0600. What's the O stand for? Oh, my God, it's early.I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

A big day of walking today (hope it stays nice), I'm doing OK against my original targets of 7K (not quite there but nearly) but a long way short of the 10K a day I need now to get to 2.5m steps this year.
I'm currently a little over spent following a visit from my brother and family from a different time zone - enormously good fun and all that but not cheap. So will have to work on that - I can feel some more money shuffling in my not so distant future, but I'm hoping a frugal month in October will redress most of the balance.
I'm set for the winter heating wise (bit of a cash buffer with the provider) although I did pop it on for a blast last night as we had the windows and doors open most of the day as a builder had been doing some dusty work. Sadly the cats loved this and were sat on top of the cooling radiators like they owned them. They may be disappointed as I am holding out for OctoberI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

HI Mark - I think the money was well spent whatever it was. If they are in a different time zone - you see them rarely and need to make the most of it.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

15000 steps yesterday - the secret is several shorter walks not one big one - my friend who I saw does 3 walks a day and he doesn't even have a dog!!
I love the word waif @f0xh0les - sadly I think it is coming back into vogue as everyone gets poorer. October is my target for regular usage, but exceptional circumstances before then
Yes thank you @savingholmes - my sentiments exactly. It was nice to pay him back - he largely funded a family trip to see him pre pandemic and it was nice to host him generously when here.
