Been opening new regular savings and closing the old ones - may have overdone it and contributed twice in one pay period (end of Jan and start of Feb) which could leave me a little short later in the month. I've got used to not worrying about the overdraft but I will be careful, and as a precaution have decided to spend my half term holiday spends on my CC (CC3) as I know I am getting a cost of living allowance at the end of March which will cover it. I'm sure management didn't intend for it to be spent on pasties, ice cream and fish and chips but that's where its going. I do feel for those younger colleagues who are really struggling at the moment with much less room for discretionary spends. Thankfully Petrol is cheaper again as it will be a couple of tanks by the time we are home againI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Col allowance will henceforth be known as the roistering fund @mark55man! Loving your diary as ever. Onwards and upwards love Humdinger x3

You are too kind @Humdinger1, but I will confess to smirking while I typed my CoL one liner. Luckily MSE is not a non-smirking zone
ETA: Roister is such a good word - *makes note to use it more*I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Lazy day today. Nice and sunny already - have some admin to do and some coffee to drink - may wander out and see what is open
Also some DIY to do which is a bit of a frog of mine but will give it a bashI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Impressed with the 20,000 steps in a day. Your other goals are working well too.
Not heard of roistering - will need to look it up.

Roister is a bit PG Wodehouse / posh boys - of which I am a fan of neither but I like the word!! I imagine the Eton Rifles might have roistered in the cloisters
I set out today to achieve not very much and I am 100% on target!. Busy half week then 10 days off. I normally take my laptop as so much is on line these days so I will be checking in but maybe not so oftenI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Impressive @mark55man! Do you recommend any walking shoes? I need new ones. I think buying online can be very hit and miss.3
