Had a few days at work, which was simultaneously energising and tiring.  The good thing about the diet is we are managing to eat less whilst cooking the same - result nice leftovers for the lunch box.  I have been doing 10 minute walkabouts chatting or just bustling round the office so steps are accumulating nicely, but only about 1000 over target so can't have an off day

Had to stand for an hour on the train home as it was half its normal size - literally playing sardines - I could almost see the germs in the air.  Definitely my most packed human contact for ages - much too peopley for me.  I can drive in much the same time, but that's not a bundle of fun at the moment with dark cold and lots of surface grime.  Be glad to be home for a few days work.   Definitely going to try and keep as many days WFH  as I can as the pressure increases to get back to the office

Looking forward to the weekend for sure - have a good one y'all

Sounds claustrophobic. I'd want to use the car. WFH good too

Being that crowded was a real nightmare.  I have more trips next week but at least I am going up to town so will be emptyish  at 6:30 and on the way back I should get my seat as getting on when its empty.  Also rally not sensible to drive to town so I don't really have an alternative unlike yesterday when it was an equal option.

In a nutshell that is the problem with public transport - although greener you have to make a sacrifice in flexibility  to use it

I will report a stupid tax though - everywhere is £2 single on the bus (from the station to work) but I bought a return out of habit for £4.50.  So 50p stupid tax

Stupid tax confession noted. I might add reporting stupid taxes to my diary too. They are everywhere.

While I am reporting stupid taxes I will add to lazy tax - missed shopping on Saturday so a £6 voucher expired - and likewise a 10% off at Lidl - although I probably would have bought enough extra treat type stuff to negate the saving.  But the £6 is an absolute shocker.

Monday so here is my report.

    • Weight - 3lbs lost last week so 12/24 for target 1 (Under 17st) - That was pleasing
    • Exercise - 5km in 48'52" on treadmill  (1 min down) - 2km in 9'54 on the C2 Rowing Machine (not doing atm)
    • Savings - £1250 / £10,800

Pretty pleased with that.  Need to have another go on the rowing machine but its a waste of steps time!!

day in big town today - love walking along the Thames past all the sites.  Had a bit of luck in that a phone meeting ended super early so I had time to walk between offices rather than getting public transport so I am just a handful of steps under 20000 steps with maybe another 1200 to go by the time I have walked to the station car park and pottered at home.  That will give me 2 days spare (ahead of target) and that is re-assuring (like an EF-Steps fund) especially as will be going to the gym for a run at the weekend so should be able to extend that a little!!
