Ah glad you had a lovely birthday nmm - nice chocolate selection, but what are those Cadbury ones? They have passed me by - need to rectify that lol! The card for your mum is lovely too.
I finished off my DMums scissor cradle last night. A bit fiddly and the finished article is a bit wonky, but it's the thought that counts!!
Still need to finish buying for my own children. DS1 proving hard to buy for as nothing he needs apparently!
Have booked my pre-flight C-19 test at my local healthcare clinic on 14 Jan. No need to go up to Kings Cross as I first thought so that is a relief. Dad going out for the first time today - going to get a burger along by the harbour. He went from 68kg to 52kg and needs to bulk up bless him.
Have a good day all,
Coxy xx

Coxy, the Cadbury ones are Jingly Bells hazelnut creme shaped balls, very nice they are too. I love the scissor cradle, its handmade with love not wonky
That's some weight loss, glad to hear he's out and about. I'm off out with my friend tomorrow for Afternoon Tea as it's her 50th birthday, will report back when i get home, take care all.

I love the scissor cradle Coxy. My mum would appreciate a gift like that being a lifelong stitcher. Your poor Dad that is some rapid weight loss, you’ll be so pleased to see him. Nmm how was the afternoon tea? I’m limping to the finish line, my last day at work today. Two remote teaching sessions, although one is a festive get together on Zoom so no preparation for that. Then an online tutorial and a slow wind down to DH’s Teams work festive quiz before clocking off until 4th January. We’ve now decided to have the weekend as R and R and preparation for Christmas before starting the kitchen.‘One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things’ said Mole.Cross stitch cafe TaDa Enjoy the Little Things, WIP Love cats, ‘A Year in the Life of’ HSC July-December and The Seasons graphic sampler. Afternoon Tea was lovely charly, so much food on offer, the picture below was just for us 5 as the birthday girl is Gluten Free so had her own platter. She got the surprise of her life when her best friend showed up, she video called to say hi then walked in the door, it was amazing for her
On top of that was a huge birthday cake, i was stuffed

Wow nmm that afternoon teas looks lush! So glad you all enjoyed it. I think this year we've been so lucky to get any socialising in, it makes things even more special.
Good luck with the kitchen Charley - you are one brave lady
Best laid plans - had wanted to do the angel yarn bomb of front garden wall this morning, but the weather wasn't playing ball. Will set up tomorrow instead. Two already 'sold' to a neighbour who wanted specific colours - I only had one red one, so she got that exclusive
Going to sort out the Chicory Fairy kit shortly. I'm home alone which never happens these days, so a quiet afternoon doing some stitching will be lovely. SCD final tonight too - come on HRVY!!!

The tea looked amazing nmm. Well all plans changed again. One of the kitchen units delivered on Wednesday was the wrong 😑 size. We can’t contact them until Monday but we’re unlikely to get it delivered before Christmas. We think we can complete half of the kitchen before Christmas Day. We might not be able to see DS and DD on Boxing Day now but we’re hoping that they might be able to come on Christmas Day after they have been to their Dad’s even if it’s just to exchange gifts outside. Hope you have better weather for the remaining angels Coxy. Great Christmas stitch Charly - that one is now out of stock, so I missed my chance! Hope you manage to get the cabinet changed without an issue.
We are now Tier 4so couldn't meet up with my sister and her family yesterday - had planned a walk in a country park - to swop gifts. DH will now go to inlaws, SILS and DSis tomorrow for a doorstep gift swop. Still having other SIL here on Christmas Day, but only that day. We managed to get our turkey crown and a ham yesterday, so only need brussels, parsnips and potatoes for Friday. Will send DH on Wednesday for those I think.
Angel yarn bomb yesterday morning netted £84.52!! One neighbour chose the only pale grey one and message me last night to say could she have another. I duly made it last night, and will post it through the door today. She has said she will top up to £90 for me bless her. Really pleased with that total as was hoping for £50! Was really nice to meet some new neighbours and have an actual face to face chat rather than over Zoom.
Working until Christmas Eve, but not a lot doing. Have to take minutes this afternoon though - not looking forward to that!
