Way to play into their hands.
    You think i care?

I see that pollycat comes in with a jab, gets a like off one of the others, that Adrian comes in to jump on the bandwagon, gets a like off pollycat, that dead fella feels left out so jumps on the bandwagon ... also gets a like off pollycat.

It's like one big circle jerk.

Since i don't think i can post a circle jerk meme i went for a pat on the back one instead. Come out, think they say something witty & rush back barely containing their excitement with a high five and a squeel of YAY :T:rotfl:.

What's really amusing is that JAS assumes it's all a conspiracy - while the truth is that I rarely take the slightest notice of other poster's names, to the point that "pollycat" doesn't even ring a faint bell of recognition...

There's only a small handful who really stand out. Rarely for the right reasons.

    I think that's a reference to mollycat.

JAS would do well to put people he doesn't want to hear from on to ignore lists if he can't ignore them himself.

Could have been a Malta spec car or an Eire one. Many of those sold at Motorpoint back in the day were just that.
As it stands today the "import" tag is largely irrelevant, it will sell if in decent order, service history and priced sensibly.
Just be realistic with your expectations and honest with your ad.
Try ebay and sell with no reserve but start your bidding slightly below where you need to be.
Probably worth £800 to £1100. Sell with an advisory free full MOT to maximise price.

Yes, if you didn't you'd just ignore it.

Ah yes because responding has to mean someone cares right?

Nice to know you care so deeply about my posts then :) I'm touched.

Is this the edition of the Golf where the seats are are worth more than the entire car?
I think so... The rear seats look practically unused. The passenger seat is in good nic as well as the driver's seat. Also leather armrest between the seats and on the doors all good. Probably worth trying to flog all that if I decide to scrap...however I think people wouldn't want to pay much to put leather interior in another old car...

the 2.0 is an odd engine and I don't think anyone really wants it. It has a princely power of 110bhp, the 1.6 engine of the same vintage does 105bhp. I don't know how the engine is so much bigger and delivers such little performance increase.

The 2.0 engine is used in beetle.

I wonder why they produced that engine and could it be retrofitted with a turbo and turned into a hot hatch.
