I spent £68.76 at the SM - that stocks up on all the things on my list except light bulbs (GU10 LED Spotlights) - not bad given that I did the unforgivable and forgot my list! I did buy some expensive fresh fruit (2 x £3 packs and some meat that was YS when I had not intended to. It will last more than a week so not all bad. Most of my veg was wonky and I bought frozen veg, only to find more of the same in an unexpected freezer drawer!
I really need to do a proper freezer audit. My larder is organised but my freezers are a jumble and I know I have stuff we should use up. Back to freezer surprise once or twice a week I supposeSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Needed eggs and cheese as we had less in than I thought. Nothing reduced to tempt me. Lidl have got some good offers next week so next week will be a higher spend

€25.63 spent today
I needed a few bits and bobs which I get specially from Mercadona. I also am a sucker for their bakery so I got my girl a cheese and bacon tart thingy.

Went shopping yesterday; £18.43 spent. May need to buy a few items tomorrow but shouldn't spend too much as fridge etc are rather full.
Was happy that I managed to pick up a 2 kg bag of gram (besan/chickpea) flour for just 63p, dated 4th April next year. A lot of reduced vegetables were bought also, including an aubergine for 27p that will go in the curry I'm having tonight .
Vegetable and tofu curry with FF garlic and coriander naan for my dinner tonight.
Pizza and duck spring rolls for OHs dinner tonight.
£116.31/£240.

I had a £4 off £20 spend voucher from W8rose so did a small stock up of tins and cat food, also got some cheese, butter and eggs. This came to £20.16, then bought a large granary loaf at the end-of- the- day sale at the local baker for £1. I will need some fruit and milk at the weekend.Grocery challenge 2025: £650/1500 annual budget0

Hello, I'd like to join if it's not too late - my goal is £250 for January for two adults and have already spent £11.32 of it. I need to start shopping almost exclusively at l!dl - we are near them and a big Mr T and I notice that if I do a full shop at l!dl and pop into Mr T for a couple of things, the latter shop usually costs more!Original mortgage free date: November 2044Current mortgage free date: November 2038Chipping away...0

Logging a spend of £60.01 for a shopping delivery from M’sns yesterday. I tried using my M’sns fivers but the code wouldn’t send
I stocked up a few bits so hopefully next week will just be small top up bits.
I did also buy some snacks todayjust because everything is rubbish atm and I wanted comfort food. So that’s £3.45 on some chocolate bars and a big bag of crisps. The chocolate bars were 3 for £1.20 and I was getting one for myself, one for DD at 60p each so may as well have picked up the third for free
Shouldn’t be anymore spends on groceries until next week.0 -

Ooops, bother, plot temporarily lost! I've added £30 to my total because I know it's about right; I spent about £15 in a quick dash into the L!dls in our county town on my way past yesterday, and about £15 in our local W8rose today. I went down to Mum's overnight to take her to the hospital for a test this morning (all clear) but as she's just had the flu, I didn't know what, if anything, she'd want to eat, so bought a couple of options, though in the end she helped me eat up some leftover turkey curry, albeit in soup form in her case! I'd also stocked up on butter, which we were very low on; I can keep stuff cold in the van fridge.
On the way home this afternoon I realised I didn't have a clue what we were having for supper tonight, so stopped into W8rose to pick up supplies to turn one of the above options into a stir-fry, plus picking up a couple of other bits that I was aware were running low.
Will update the total accurately when I find the receipts again...Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0
