I received  the DQ and filled it. So do I copy it and send a copy to CEL too?
And the original should I send it recorded back to Northampton CCBC. When do I need to prepare my witness statement latest?
    Thank you

Return your completed DQ to the CCBC in the same manner and to the same email address that you sent your Defence. Refresh your memory on that by re-reading my 23 December 2019 at 8:04PM post above.

Send a copy of your completed DQ to the Claimant - to the address in the box labelled Address for sending documents and payments on your County Court Claim Form.

Hello all. I hope everyone is well and doing OK with the current situation.
I must say with the COVID-19 going on I totally forgot about this case and today received
General Form of Judgment or Order:
in the county court at (my choosen court)

    claimant: CEL.
    defendant: me.

before district judgeHartley sitting at the cc(address).
    IT is ordered that
    1. The claimant must file and serve a properly particularised claim compliant with the Civil PRocedure Rules by 28th april 2020.
    2. The defendant has permission, if so advised, to file and serve a defence to the caim within 14 days of receipt of the particulars of claim.

    Date 18 march 2020

DOes all this mean I missed the court and lost the case, do I need to pay now? as I said I totally forget about this. I believe I dont need to say how crazy is the situation  for the last few months around the world.
thank you all and be safe

ok i will read about the telephone hearings. My worry is because I did not do witness statement at all. I am going through all my old mail if i overlooked something at the moment.
does this letter means i need to do another defence?

it does if they file a properly worded and allowed claim , which was point 1)

so the court is not happy with their claim and stated they must submit one that is compliant

assuming they did or do, 2) tells you you can file an amended defence in response to their compliant claim

so assuming they have not done so and fail by the deadline , they are in doo doo and may have to pay more money to resurrect it , but CEL had a reputation for filing incomplete non compliant claims so looks like the courts are clamping down on cr*ppy particulars of claim

so wait for an amended claim or instructions from the court

any actual court hearing may not arrive for 6 months or more, probably longer due to covid , this includes any WS + Exhibits

your main task is to keep your eye on the ball in case they sneak in a late but compliant document

thank you for your reply. this is really  good news for me, as this is the last think I want to be worrying about at the moment. hopefully  they dont submit any claim and this think is over.
I must say that I received a letter from CEL on 11/03  to call them to mediate and settle. I did nothing about it. Should I do anything ?
    Best Regards
